Oh I don't disagree. Like I have no qualms jumping into a DF solo as heals and following through with how a tank wants to lead things. I may have a way I prefer to do things, but the tank is the party leader.Problem is this thread is NOT about raid content even though you make a valid point. That's the main issue I have when it comes to elitists views of almost everything. People make comments about "dungeon" content and in comes the elitists that make it all about "raid" content... That's where the miscommunications and unnecessary drama forms. If the raiders would learn to differentiate between the two and think outside your normal static coil farms, then there'd be less of this back and forth where both sides points are completely true, but one side is much more relevant than the other...

Yes, more capable/experienced healers like you and I can do that though, but most tanks that are "spoiled" by our immediate adaptation to their natural habit is one of the many problems that start this vicious cycle of tanks "assuming" SR on every dungeon run, without assessing the teams capability.

While I agree and respect your desire for wanting speed runs as I do also enjoy getting the boring stuff out of the way, I do not agree with your views on people that want slow paced groups to be expected to use Party Finder. While they certainly can use it, Duty Finder is the intended purely random PUG feature in the game. If you feel exceptionally strongly about speed runs, please keep in mind the forums really isn't the best place to get your point across to SE. Posting this topic is just going to get a debate going. Nothing else.
Aquel Kuran - White Mage | Zalera | Final Fantasy 14
Ahrek Kuran - Sith Sorcerer | The Ebon Hawk | Star Wars the Old Republic
Qwenya - Sorcerer | Tiamat | Aion
Oh yea....Duty Finder is for "EVERYONE" to use and enjoy.
Have a good weekend everyone.
No. And when I go out in open world people better know the fates. I'm so tired of people walking around in public access without any practice. Doesn't anyone have any respect for anyone else? I was out in OP the other day farming crafting items (in the appropriate party finder mind you) and guess what I saw? People out killing a hunt who were...ugh....NOT IN A PFG! It's no wonder SE can't deliver when the player base doesn't know how to streamline anything on it's own, lol I swear.
And a good weekend to you too!!![]()

Rarely seeing eye to eye =/= dislike...
There are times Ellatrix is correct and I will admit that. If you had looked just a little further before you commented selectively on that post, you'd have seen the point more in depth...

I have to STRONGLY disagree here. If done properly speed runs save you 10-20+ minutes than going mob by mob. More so in certain dungeons.=Zedd702;2698465
Speed runs really serve no purpose, but a big chaos fest, which can be fun at times, with the proper team/makeup. I've done "mob by mob" (but non-stop approaching each group one after another) dungeons runs in the same time or slightly more (about 5 minutes) than a well ran, no error speed run. Same tomes, same rewards, no extra achievements... It's merely preference, nothing more...

Um ok... and no they don't on average, perhaps a dungeon or two can be ran in that amount of time, but your statement is incorrect lol...
Most dungeons take at a minimum 15-20 minutes with a good team (not even considering Speed runs), speed runs may shave off about 5 mayyybe 7 minutes, not anything as significant as 15-20 minutes...
Again, do any regular run of ANY dungeon (pulling no more than one enemy pack at a time) in the game with 3 other competent players. Do that dungeon regularly. Post your time. I'll make a video of doing a speed run of that dungeon with the exact same ilvl of your group has and I'll beat that time doing a speed run by at least 10 minutes.Um ok... and no they don't on average, perhaps a dungeon or two can be ran in that amount of time, but your statement is incorrect lol...

I remember people not believing that you could easily do 8-10 minute brayflox HM speed runs when it first came out.
