You can't hit yourself in the head with a hammer then complain about a headache. I get it, you get it, everyone gets it, DPS queue times are long. There is a real easy solution to this...... queue as tank. "But I don't wanna play as a tank" , Why? you get Tomes to buy whatever piece of DPS gear you want. ALL DF dungeons are extremely easy to tank and are forgiving to undergeared and new players. you literally can do a expert roulette queue + run time in about 30 mins. Why on earth would you ever wait over an HOUR just to get into a roulette. My personal favorite is when i get instant pop into a run and the DPS start screaming for "bigger pulls" or run off and agro more mobs and bring them to me. You will wait over an hour to get in, but heaven forbid the run takes 5 minutes longer. It is true for Animus books that you have to do the dungeons as a specific job, but not for Novus alex map quests. Broaden your horizons, learn to heal and tank. You can do it, I promise you no one is going to make fun of you. It is a game and you should be enjoying it.... all of it. I'm not saying main a tank, I understand you love to pew pew big numbers, I'm just saying DF a tank job and you will see the time spent waiting for DPS queues will instantly vanish *poof* /rant

The solution is to get together with three other people having the same problem (shouldn't be too hard to find) and run dungeons together in sets of four. You each get two runs as NIN (or whatever other DPS roles you're trying to level), one run as a healer, and one as a tank. That's a lot of DPS leveling with no queue times, in exchange for spending part of your time on other classes as well. Just because you want to main a DPS class or are focused on leveling that alt class at the moment, doesn't mean you can't mix in some others as well. (Especially when you can get in four dungeon runs with a group in about the time you spend waiting in queue for just one.)

The main incentive they need is creation of classes/jobs that fill the tank role which look like would be extremely good fun to play. I never played a tank class/job when the only options are PLD and WAR because those two bore me both in concept and in how often those classes are the same ones in most MMO's. Paladins and warriors are the generic go to classes for most MMO's when making a tanking class.
I will however be making a tank character when DRK comes out because it is not overused in MMO's and it sounds more unique and interesting. Same reason I did not play a tank PLD or WAR in WoW, druid was a more interesting and unique tank option as was DK which is why I made those instead. The lack of tanks issue will go away when DRK comes out for a long period of time but then will have a lack of healers still until a new healing class comes out.
I do however agree GC seals are not a good incentive for getting high level characters to run low level content. Most high level people I know only ever use GC seals to buy ventures and even then it is just as quick to farm leves and guildleves for them.
