Or you just let it go because it'll be dead before it kills the DPS who stole hate.

You wanna talk efficiency, efficiency is learning when you do not need to tank everything. Efficiency is not "teaching the trigger-happy DPS a lesson" in any sense of the word. How often has it ever worked for any of you who do that?

    ^ this.

I have bot PLD and WAR and love them both. I am by no means the best but consider myself pretty damn decent. I understand the ebb and flow of threat. I am currently lvl'ing NIN(41 now ^^) and notice that pre-shield oath PLD have a very hard time dealing with NIN threat gen. They are just too fast and hit harder at those lower lvls. Even when focused on the "marked" target I will pull it. Noting we can do about it, except slow DPS. Why would I do that though? I am there to kill it and kill it fast. If I take aggro I can handle it. Heck sometimes I will go focus on ranged mobs solo while the tank is busy with the melee mobs, just to ensure it doesn't decide it want's to mess with the heals. I am done way before the melee mobs are down and can continue working them down.

I have noticed that as soon as I hit Cutter's Cry with a lvl 40 PLD, the threat meter changed. It doesn't inflate as fast and gets to yellow and stays there. So shield oath is definitely helping. In high lvl and expert roulettes when paired with a NIN I want them to go all out. It is fun to keep the threat off them.

To echo the above, if I pull a mob from a tank, it's ok. I will kill it. If I don't and die, which has yet to happen, then shame on me. Don't fuss over losing a mob to a DPS. It will happen. Double / Triple flare says hello. Learn to work with it, please don't "teach lessons" through death, that gets you nowhere.

Noticed the 2.45 Ninja nerf really helps a lot at max level, but hasn't changed difficulty at mid-level (as I'm levelling my Warrior - L28 as of this posting - while I main Paladin). Able to think about shield bashes and swipes again, at least!
Everyone else having an easier time?
