Question about Pug armor

Pugs are disciples of war no? I've selected plenty of leather armor rewards from quests saying that disciples of war can use them, yet it won't let me wear it. Only thing I've been able to wear are items that are labeled "all classes". I've read the wikis on Pugs and the wording about the weapons and items they can use is confusing. "They won't to use leather, metal and bone to maximize their deadly potential" Or something like that. I figure that means they won't use it, but then I look at pics on the same page and they are depicted using metal weapons...

Are you sure you are of proper level to use the target item?

That's the only thing I can think of that is stopping you, because we wear just about everything but chain mail and plate mail.

I just looked at the armor I can wear. some of it is leather, but it says "all classes". For some reason when I picked disc of war rewards, the two or 3 I picked I could not wear.

PUG/MNK/LNC/DRG/GLA/PLD/MRD/WAR/ROG/NIN/ARC/BRD are all Disciples of War. If it is a Disciple of War piece and you are a Disciple of War, you can equip it so long as you are of proper level. Just because its in your inventory does not necessarily mean you are of proper level to use it. If there is anything holding you back (when you look at the item) it will be in red text.

Take a look at the items you cannot equip. See if there is anything in red text.

The other posts are correct, you just need to level up enough to use it
