I raid end game as scholar, and one thing i have learned is dont put too much emphasis on that crit adlo. Its nice when it happens, but your healing style should be such that a crit is never needed....but if you arent end game raiding, BiS actually means very little. Mind>nearly everything else on gear. Higher ilvl gear means more defense.

So much truth. Also, you cannot get BiS without Raiding even for WHM. The Poetic gear you're talking about is i120. It is not the i130. In order to get the i130 you must clear T12+ to get the item to "augment" it to i130. It is not the same. This is just the same thing it was when SCoB came out. You needed to get the Oil of Time and Sand of Time to get i100 gear to i110.

As others have said, if you're not doing FCoB, why do you even care about BiS. You'll never get it if you're not doing Coil. The gear you get from Raiding, is for Raiding.

Exactly. With the new Poetics healer gear, three of the six pieces (main body left side) are best suited for WHM and three for SCH. So, I don't really see a problem.

Did ya ever think....maybe....that you don't even need to get rid of your old crit gear? I mean, if dps don't even need much from this patch to meet t10-13 dps checks , what on earth is a healer freaking out for? Anyways, official forum ftw....

I assume ur at t10+ since you're having such a freakout? Just farm coil every week?

as an endgame raider sch from day1 2.0, Crit is a nice bonus, but I rarely use ADLO. Piety is more consistent and scales with my aetherflow. Lets me cover mistakes (various resses) without having to worry about my MPs

If you dont mind me asking, I'm curious what your gear and bonus stat points look like. Ive always wanted to toy around with piety on sch.

I heal as both a WHM and SCH. Last patch with the i110 and coil gear/accy was better for sch. This patch swings to whm and it is noticable. I am working on farming up gear for both that works with their stats keeping in mind that ilvl matters. You can do the new poetic gear and go very heavy on crit accys for sch. This has been working for me. My whm has a different gear selection. In the end they are about 1 ilvl apart and heal very well. Takes time and a lot of farming to get the right mix of whm and sch gear.
As for dropping sch, I wouldn't do that. In raids, I really like the whm/sch mix more than two of the same. If you do both and keep them current you can be more flexible in parties.
