Welcome back t'Eorzea's Next Top Model! Round 2 was one o' the most popular we've ever seen with some amazin' work from all of our models. Sadly someone had t'go, an' Sangriah V' was left in her chargin' chamber for some much deserved restin'. Let's see what round three has in store...

This week our model interview switches over to th'lads. It's my pleasure t'present t'you an interview I had with th'one an' only Marik Destiel.

Tyriont: Thanks for givin' me some o' your time, Marik. Let's start off same as I did with Sangriah - any interestin' story behind that name o' yours?

Marik: I do not belong in the world of Eorzea, I hail from a distant dimenson called "Vana'diel" I traveled to this fair land by way of the being Atomos. My name derives from that land, and of my family there...
(I've been using the name "Marik" ever since I was 5 when I played games that allowed me to give characters names.)

Tyriont: Vana'diel, eh? Heard of that place before...evidently there's some impossibly handsome scrag runnin' around there lookin' an' soundin' like me. Disturbin' stuff. Anyways, when you ain't posin' away, what d'you like t'do?

Marik: I tend to the needs of the city states, constantly fighting off one new threat after the other, daunting the life of an adventurer... although from time to time when no threats are present I'll weave and sew the finest silks Ul'dah has ever seen, or I might just give Wawalago a run for his money out in the open sea with a steady rod in my hand.

Tyriont: A weaver, eh? Might have a sail or three I could ask you t'look at...ahem! So what made you choose t'enter the ENTM contest?

Marik: Being an adventurer is such an easy task, it comes naturally to me... how ever allowing others to see another side of me, a much softer side and so creative and artistic, although quite intimidating, I wish to push out of my boundaries and express who I am on the inside, not always the hero of the day, but more like an icon of fashion and flair!

Tyriont: An' a fine fashion icon you're turnin' out t'be! Where's your favourite place in Eorzea t'go be fashionable?

Marik: I quite enjoy the serenity of the snow field country side of Coerthas... particularly the quiet and off the trial cliff that hangs above the grand city of Ishgard, staring into the city lights below just calms my inner beasts.

Tyriont: Little too cold for my taste...an' the Ishgardians tend not t'have a stick shoved up their nethers as much as an entire tree. But each t'their own! Now a challenge for you. I asked Sangriah for her story in a haiku, I want yours as a limerick! Go!

Marik': "Oh Marik so loveable and sweet,
but none not even you may touch mine feet,
To even this day
I always keep my ray...
Of hope that I shall receive a treat."

Tyriont: Neautiful! An' significantly less filthy than any o' the limericks I know. Last question, tell us one thing 'bout yourself that we don't know yet.

Marik: Hmm.... I'm extremely afraid of any arachnid... the minute I have a diremite in view I stand as far away as I can and keep casting until it's nothing but a pile of unrecognizable mush, then I throw my book on top of that for extra caution.

Tyriont: Now there's a hell of an answer! Makes your last entry all th'more impressive too, given you were right by a nest of 'em! You...did know you were right by a nest of 'em, right? Y'know what, best not to think on it. Thanks, Marik!

My thanks to Marik for humourin' me with the interview. Come back next round for another! But onto th'real meat of why you lot are here...

Rules are th'same as before. I need each o' you to go through an' pick our your favourite Four models from each o' the lists. That's four men, an' four women. No pickin' the same person twice, that doesn't count! T'round closes at 11:59pm (EST) on Wednesday, November 19th, at which point votin' scores will be combined with judges scores t'determine who goes home! Th'same ten post minimum is still in effect. We're back t'normal rules for both groups, so the lowest scorin' from public and judge votes combined will be eliminated in both the men's and women's contests.

"Building Revenant's Toll - help out the Domans! Get out to Mor Dhona and help with the construction efforts!"

A note on this one. See, when I came up with this shot idea I didn't realize just how bloody efficient th'Domans are an' by th'time the models got t'really work on th'shot...most o' the construction was done. So I want t'stress when judgin' these shots, don't worry overmuch about not havin' any of 'em in the shot! Important thing is t'look like they're helpin' make Mor Dhona grow an' thrive.

I've gotta say, this is one of the hardest ones I've seen! So much creativity was demanded of all of the models, and I'm so happy to see so many creative interpretations!

Men’s:
Epsil Ion: Very clever use of angles and the Blacksmithing job! You definitely look like you’re working hard to build the Toll!
Aiden Weaver: You tell them where things go, like the pitboss you are!
Fate Lhas: Hey, the Domans need to eat too! Great work incorporating an oft forgotten crafting job!
Marik Destiel: That looks awfully uncomfortable…! But then again, when balancing on construction ropes, one isn’t always comfortable!

Women’s:
Iris Dawnshade: I really love the motion in this shot! I’m sure the Domans need lots of stone!
Rhaya Relanah: You definitely have some stellar composition in this shot, capturing Mor Dhona’s gloom perfectly! I wonder if there are some rare nodes during gloom weather.
Eirwen Mackenzie: Wow, it definitely looks like you’ve established a story here! You’ve completed a crate of rivets and they need to get moving!
Adeline Urusa: I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw this one! Metal is heavy! You’re gonna break that Roe’s back with all the things you’ve been making!

You all did a FANTASTIC job, I wish I could vote for everyone!

Special Note: Xev, I really loved yours too...! I think I'm really attracted to the whole "Rosie the Riveter" feel of the Mining Ladies of Eorzea.

1. Rhaya Relanah: Great composition, great lighting, great use of color, great angles, great picture! The only thing I can possibly nitpick is that maybe an expression could have added to the picture.
2. Adeline Urusa: I love the humor in this picture, it helps tell a story. My only critique is that I wish the camera was rotated just a smidge lower.
3. Sakuraya Kai: I know it's not really keeping with the working theme but I like the story this picture tells. Nice posing and expression.
4. Iris Dawnshade: Nice composition, posing, and expression but I wish there was a bit more life in this picture.

Male
1. Epsil Ion: Again, great composition, posing, and angles and in addition, use of foreground. I only wish I could see your eyes.
2. Ronin Woofcub: Love the color story. The shot is laid out nicely. Critique-wise, I wish your body wasn't facing the camera so much. I also wish you engaged with the extras a little more, they're all looking at each other, while you're kind of staring off somewhere else.
3. Marik Destiel: It's an interesting pose in an interesting location. I wish you were light a little better though, those crystals are trying to outshine you (pun intended).
4. Fate Lhas: Nice composition, expression, and posing.

5. L'yhan Nunh: Your posing, expression, and angles are right but I wish we were zoomed in closer to the action, I would say about a good 1/3 of the picture is dead space.
6. Jinx Fireboot: Nice angles, posing, and lighting. I also like how the foreground is warmly lit and the background is cooler. My only critique is that this picture is a smidge boring, compared to those above it.
7. Flare Anderfel: It's a cute shot but like Jinx's, it's a smidge boring compared to those above it. >x>()
8. Aiden Weaver: Your body angles and lighting are nice but I wish I could see more of your face, particularly, your eyes.
9. Sienna Moonlux: You're posing and expression are good but I think we need to zoom in closer to you, there's a lot of unneeded space here, especially with such a bland background.
10. Adam Fylrmyn: I'm sorry Adam but not only can I not see you but you're kind of being out staged by your companion. >x>()

Female
5. Xev Bellwyn: Nice composition and posing but the angle we're looking at isn't very flattering. If this was IRL, we would be staring up your nose right now. >A>() I also wish you were a tiny smidge more to the right.
6. Eirwen Mackenzie: Your posing and expression help tell a story but I think we should have been closer to you. With how the Rule of Thirds looks like in this picture, I'm staring at the extra in front of you first.
7. Lowena Fae: It's a nice shot but your lighting is a bit too intense, it's almost looks like monster-lighting.
8. Overlord Rikkustrife: You're posing is nice but I just want to grab you and turn towards the camera so I can see more of you. The location is also a bit weird/bland.
9. Miki Hoshi: The pictures okay, the reaching out pose is interesting but I feels the picture is to centered/symmetrical. It doesn't make the eyes move, everything happens just in the middle.
10. Kaiyoko Star: I'm sorry Kaiyoko but I can't tell which one is you. >A>() Also, there is a lot of useless space between all three of you, I wish you were a bit closer together.

Women's:
Rhaya Rhelena: This isn't from a c/s? You continue to impress/inspire me with what can be done with screenshots. I don't want you to give all your secrets away during the competition but I would love some insight into how you go about your screenshot process just to improve upon my own hobby.

Iris Dawnshade: I feel like this shot completely encompasses this week's theme: Working to help build Mor Dhona. Its a nice display of Miner with a lovely shot of the construction going on behind you.

Eirwen Mackenzie: I enjoy the soft light in this and the way all of the NPC's are looking at the same thing with you. The details in the background are interesting too. I really like this shot as a whole.

Adeline Urusa: This is great! Way to take advantage of how well your emote interacts with your environment

Men's
Fate Lhas: This feels like a snapshot out of life in Mor Dhona. I giggle a little thinking about a Highlander Hyur refusing to buy your sausages and I like the inclusion of the other cook in the back.

Marik Destie: So creative, I wasn't even aware that you could get on those ropes!

Aiden Weaver: The glasses on this one sold me along with the lighting that I talked about in Eirwen's shot.

Jinx Fireboot: The smudges on your face make me believe you spent all day harvesting carrots as big as your legs!
