Character Info 1:

What is the name of your primary character? How did you come up with that name?

-Robert Ackerman. It's my real name.

What is the Race/Tribe of your primary character? Why did you pick that?

-Hyur. I like to represent. Also since I used my real name, I felt I should pick the most human option.

What is the primary class/job of your primary character? Why did you pick that?

-I started as an Arcanist, then went to 50 as an Armorer, worked my way up as a Paladin, and now I mostly play Scholar.

Which Grand Company is your primary character a part of? Why did you pick that?

-The Maelstrom. I feel like Limsa as a whole kind of represents freedom, accepting the good with the bad about that freedom. I respect it, and so Limsa sort of feels at home to me.

What is your primary character's weapon glamour of choice (if applicable)? Why did you pick that?

-Zantetsuken. Though I mostly play Scholar, I usually just use whatever is equipped. I love the Zantetsuken in design and background.

What do you think your primary character's signature ability is? Why do you think that?

-Adloquium. I feel like plenty of other Scholars see it as a secondary heal. I use it as my primary heal, and I've gotten good with the timing on when it wears off, so I rarely ever miss Galvanize. I don't run out of MP either.

Is your primary character a part of a Free Company? If so, what is it? Why did you join that Free Company?

-Wardens of Unity. I joined due to a Linkshell about Chocobo's, which advertised itself on the beta forums. Most of the Linkshell members joined that FC and so I did too, and I don't regret it.

Where did your primary character come from?

-My character is based off myself... so I can't really role play as myself. I don't RP either.


The World 1 (Geography):

What is your favorite region of Eorzea? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-My favorite region is La Noscea. I can't really put a finger on why. My least favorite is Ul' Dah. I dislike the desert.

What is your favorite spot to relax in Eorzea? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-My FC's house, in the Lavender Beds. I dislike hanging around Revenant's Toll. I like the area, but there are too many people.

What is your favorite spot to fight in Eorzea? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-Labyrinth of the Ancients. It really brings me back to Final Fantasy's old days. I don't like Binding Coil because my contribution to the effort feels minimal.

What is your favorite spot to shop in Eorzea? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-The closest market board. No other rules.


The World 2 (NPCs):

Who is your favorite NPC? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-Gilgamesh. I'm a Gilgamesh fanatic.

Who is your favorite City-State Leader? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-I'd normally go with Merlwyb, but Nanamo takes this one. She's such an honest and heartfelt character, and I respect that.

Who is your favorite Scion? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-Urianger, mostly because of his voice actor. Moenbryda I dislike so far, maybe that'll change.

Who is your favorite Primal? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-My favorite is Shiva, because so far she's the most human. My least favorite is Titan, probably because I still haven't beaten Titian EX.

Who is your favorite boss? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-Diabolos. I loved him in FF8 and he's very much the same in 14.


Music:

What is your favorite song in FFXIV? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-Bazaar. I think the intents behind this song were kind of silly, but it gives off this slightly charming heartfelt vibe.

What is your favorite battle theme in FFXIV? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-Battle (Dungeon2). This theme makes it sound like you're going to kick some ass.

What is your favorite field/town theme in FFXIV? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-Coerthas, has a sound of regal desolation to it. Sylphlands, as stated above.

What is your favorite boss theme in FFXIV? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?

-I love Ramuh's theme, very mysterious.


Gameplay:

What graphical settings do you play with? Why is that?

-Everything maxed.

What sound settings do you play with? Why is that?

-Sounds are based off where my character is, and I usually play with headphones on.

Do you play with a gamepad or with a Keyboard/Mouse? Why is that?

-Keyboard/Mouse. I don't feel comfortable having 18 different things to keep track of on a gamepad.


The Future:

What Class/Job would you most like to see in the game? Why?

-I've wanted Dark Knight since day one.

What region would you like to visit most in the world? Why?

-I'd love to visit some kind of futuristic utopia, like Esthar in FF8.

If another Final Fantasy-inspired dungeon or raid were to come out, what would it be inspired by? Why would you pick that?

-It'd be cool if you got to go through The Void from FF5.

What item or set of items would like most like to see in the game? Why?

-I'd love all of Cecil's gear, both Paladin and Dark Knight.
