What is the name of your primary character? How did you come up with that name?
Ryuri Akatsuki / Ian Carlson. I came up with "Ryuri Akatsuki" on a whim for a character name used in my fictional stories I write. "Ian Carlson" is my real life name.

What is the Race/Tribe of your primary character? Why did you pick that?
Elezen / Hyur. I chose Elezen for Ryuri because it suits her character design the most from my own fictional world. Would be nice if it could have even longer hair though. I chose Hyur for Ian Carlson because it allows me to choose my real life height (Midlander.)

What is the primary class/job of your primary character? Why did you pick that?
Thaumaturge/Black Mage. I love Burst DPS, and I love magic the most.

Which Grand Company is your primary character a part of? Why did you pick that?
Order of the Twin Adder. Because I love forests, and I love motherly, loving, caring women (See Kan-E-Senna.)

What is your primary character's weapon glamour of choice (if applicable)? Why did you pick that?

What do you think your primary character's signature ability is? Why do you think that?
This is better suited for the "RP" Section. She, Ryuri, doesn't care for "Signature" skills. neither do I in real life usually.

Yes. I joined it because I'm "Mid-core" and not good with big Free Companies like "NPC" and others. I also am not hardcore, one bit.

Where did your primary character come from? How do they feel about where they came from?
They came from a far off world. They have a longing to find that world.

They have a "Creator," who created them. She treats them as a mother/father.

Very long purple hair, pale/pallid creamy white skin. They usually wear loose yet practical clothing. They have very large breasts, mainly for data storage and whatnot. They look like they do because they are a nano-machine colony, created to better the universe. They picked the clothes because practical usually is better for battle. They don't mind gowns, etc. But they usually wear loose clothes.

What is your primary character's personality? What do they like? What do they dislike? What are they afraid of? What makes them happy? What makes them sad? What makes them angry?
Calm, Collected, Motherly, Caring. They like walking with you, they like spending time outdoors. They dislike battle, they dislike insects (But are brave enough to stomp them out.) They're afraid of open-wire electricity that may shock them. They love hugs, and it makes them happy (Make sure you stop the hug before she hugs to deep!) The main thing that makes them sad is when people around her die. What makes her angry is when those extremely close to her, die.

Does your primary character have a backstory? Were there any interesting events in their past that led them to become the people they are today?
She's a nano-machine colony from a far off world. She came here by chance/accident, and is looking for a way home. Sometimes, she feels like she should stay here to help the people of the world.

My favorite region of Eorzea, is Mor Dhona. Mainly due to all the crystals and the music. Least favorite has to be Aurum Vale, due to all the smells and poisons.

My favorite spot to "Relax" in, would be Camp Bronze Lake. Hot Springs Yo! Least Favorite would be any thanalan area, I hate hot places.

Who on EARTH (Or, Hydaelyn I guess?) Would WANT to fight on this beautiful world?

Gridania Markets. It just feels more... homely than the other markets. I have no least favorite.

My favorite NPC(s) are Minfillia, Kan-E-Senna. Mainly because they are motherly, caring, loving women that I could just hug close to me for days. Least favorite has to be any of the corrupt merchants, etc. Because I have had enough of politics in the real world.

Who is your favorite City-State Leader? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
I'm pretty sure I've already made this clear twice now, but it's Kan-E-Senna. Least Favorite is Raubaun. Mainly because... Raubaun.

Y'shtola. Mysterious, seductive to a fault, and whatnot. Least favorite is... the twins. Because HERPADERP. Such Child, much innocent.

Shiva. Because she's an exile. I can relate to her a lot, especially because my own family pretty much disowns me, and my "mother" was never a mother.

My favorite boss has to be... Siren. Because siren and sexy bodies. Least favorite definitely goes to the second boss in Sastasha Hard. I don't need to explain why.

Music:

My most FAVORITE song in the entire game is a tie between Shiva Battle Theme, Ramuh Battle Theme, Leviathan Battle Theme, Amdapor City, Snowcloak Dungeon, Mor Dhona Overworld and Imperial Strongholds (Overworld.) Because they're so epic, calming, etc. My least favorite has to be titan. I'm not into hard rock, metal.

What is your favorite battle theme in FFXIV? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
My favorite "Battle" themes are a tie between Mor Dhona's, "Battle Common 2", "FATE (Mid)", "Job Shiren", "Battle Common 1", "BGM Event Protector" (This last one was only used once as a battle theme I believe) I have no least favorites.

What is your favorite field/town theme in FFXIV? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
Gridania (Day and Night). It's calming. I have no least favorites.

What is your favorite boss theme in FFXIV? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
My favorite boss theme is a tie between "Teikoku Boss" and halatali Hard's Final Boss theme. Mainly due to how epic and how well executed they are in terms of appearance. I have no least favorites save for Titan's.

What graphical settings do you play with? Why is that?
Maximum. Because every world deserves to be seen with ultimate quality.

What sound settings do you play with? Why is that?
English Audio. Mainly because I'm a derp.

I tried playing with a gamepad once, I didn't like it due to hotbar switching and whatnot. I play keyboard/mouse because it's way faster for me due to playing so many (over 15+) Target-based Free to play MMORPGs in the past.

What Class/Job would you most like to see in the game? Why?
I already made a thread about this exact thing, a while back.

What region would you like to visit most in the world? Why?
The Garlemald Empire. Because snowy regions and high-tech regions are the best.

Final Fantasy VIII, aboard the ragnarok or on top of it as it sails through the atmosphere. I'm a sucker for high speed battles or battles on a moving plane. (Like trains, etc.)

Answer: Almaz Hiro, Almaz came from a character I really liked from a game I played a while back and Hiro, well pretty much a pun on Hero.

Answer: Yes, called Lost in Eorzea <LOST>. Friends are there is why I joined. Since we are quite a casual group I quite liked the small amount of people we had when I joined. Now at 20ish odd members, its a bit too big for my liking, but I'm gonna still stick around the FC.

Not a backstory exactly but took on the alias of a Wandering Snowman. Having a hideout in Coearthas, I go there to hide from others, or think about events that have transpired. Being a snowman is the perfect disguise.

Well, this is refreshing! I'm going to post my answers then go over the others to see what they posted. This is rather long and I wonder how many people would be turned of this due to its length. And regarding the Players Poll's of 1.0 I would love to see another one return, even if it is just to gauge how things are going compared to 1.0

Anyway, on with the answers!

Character Info 1:

What is the name of your primary character? How did you come up with that name?
My primary character is Zakarn Rosewood(Riskbreaker). Now, the reason for the two last names is the result of bad choices that are too lengthy to get into but once PayPal is re-instated I will be changing my name to the one I Should have picked in the first place, Rosewood. Zakarn is the name of one of the main characters in a series of novels I'm writing and has been my go-to name for a long time, it is a derivative of the initials I used to put in arcade games "ZAK" because it was short enough to fit. Rosewood is the middle and last name I would have given my kid if I had a girl (4 boys... sigh) my 1.0 character is Sephre Rosewood taking the first name of my would be daughter.

What is the Race/Tribe of your primary character? Why did you pick that?
I'm a Sea Wolf Roegadyn. I picked Roegadyn because I like to be able to see the detail in my armor (lala's are too tiny) and i thought it would have been funny to see a Roegadyn WHM. As an added bonus I am the rarest of the rare, a Male Roegadyn WAR.

What is the primary class/job of your primary character? Why did you pick that?
My primary class/job is MRD/WAR. I normally pick the mage classes but i have a bad habit of charging in when i really shouldnt. I figured I would try tanking since they are the ones charging in head first and I have not regretted my choice, even though it was rough being a WAR at the release of 2.0

Which Grand Company is your primary character a part of? Why did you pick that?
I'm Gridanian, I've always been drawn to the forests and trees. Probably comes from living in that kind of environment.

What is your primary character's weapon glamour of choice (if applicable)? Why did you pick that?
Right now its the L'ciel Bardich because it goes well with the "White Knight" theme i have going on with my armor glamors and the unicorn I ride. I think it looks nifty in Frontlines.

Not sure what this means or how to answer but my signature move is to have the alt stance for the drawn weapon. I enter that pose as often as possible.

Right now i'm part of Shinra Inc. on Balmung. Started and run by family and RL friends.

These all change daily depending on my mood or what I'm looking to accomplish. I don't intentionally seek out a particular spot to play because I like the spot, I pick it for its utility.

Hildebrand is my favorite. He remindes me of a lot of the bumbling detectives i enjoyed growing up. Maxwell Smart, Inspector Gadget, Inspector Clouseau, etc. Least favorite is the Mail Moogle, that bitch never brings me anything!

Who is your favorite City-State Leader? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
Favorite is Merlwyb, I like her poise and authoritative tones as well as her compassion when it is needed. Least favorite, the Sultana. Does not have a commanding presence and Rahabaun seems more like he is in charge.

Papalymo but I preferred his voice from 1.0 I'm sure its the same guy who voiced the fox bomb guy from the Slayers series (Next or Try, cant remember which). Least favorite would be Thancred, he feels too stuck on himself and it kind of irks me.

Ifrit, He looks so demonic and I love when he talks plus fire is awesome! Ramauh is the least favorite mostly because I don't like how they did lightening magic in this game, just a personal preference. his battle still looks good though.

Ultros! The nod to FF3/6 is awesome and loved all the easter eggs with his lines. The fight was fun and I really want that minion! Least favorite is Demon Wall, I hated demon wall since my first encounter with one in FF2/4 (sorry for the / in the numbers, When i originally played them they had different numbers than their actual numbers)

Music:

Favorite Song Hands down is Answers. When that trailer released at midnight it was such a crazy powerful song, still listen to it! Can't think of a least favorite.

Ultros! Love how nothing was changed, very nostalgic! Least is the overworld battle music but i do still like the throwback riff that starts it off.

I like Costa Del Sol music, it reminds me of Chrono Cross for some reason. Don't really have a least, they are all pretty good.

Favorite boss theme is Titan, I love when the heart breaks and it ramps up! Least favorite is Moogle Mog music. would have enjoyed it more if the music was only from the moogles and changed as you killed them.

Gameplay:

I play at max settings, gotta go all the way! Can't wait for DX11 client to come out, i'm a graphics whore...

What sound settings do you play with? Why is that?
Music low, background ambiance low, Sound Effects, medium, and voices high. I like to hear whats being said over all the other crap, the sound effects can get very repetitive and abrasive, more so when you have more people in the party.

Do you play with a gamepad or with a Keyboard/Mouse? Why is that?
I use the controller even though I play on my PC. I didnt think that a controller would really be viable for an MMO but they did so well with its setup that the only reason I have my mouse and keyboard nearby is to type to people or click out of windows when my queue pops. I tried playing Jak and Daxter the MMO (sorry, i think its officially called Wildstar?) and all I wanted to do was use the controller like i do in FFXIV, X-Padder is not even close. I don't think i could play another MMO without the same level of controller support. Much more relaxing to be able to fire up the game then sit back on the couch and play.

The Future:

What Class/Job would you most like to see in the game? Why?
I want to see more Magic Classes/Jobs, Red, Time, Blue mage but more than that, I want to see a class/job unique to FFXIV Aether Knight/Mage where the equipment has varying stages of crystalline enhancements. And have the roles kind of reversed, A tank Mage and a healer Melee.

What region would you like to visit most in the world? Why?
Well, its not in the world but I want to go to the moon! FFIV style!

If another Final Fantasy-inspired dungeon or raid were to come out, what would it be inspired by? Why would you pick that?
FFIX style dungeon where you are climbing Yggdrasil the Tree of life. Jumping will be necessary, you can fall to your death, hidden random chests with great loot that is way off the beaten path, branching paths to the top, and other fun stuff like that.

What item or set of items would like most like to see in the game? Why?
I want to see the Rat's Tail come back and do exactly what it did in FF1. Boost you from a regular job to an Advanced Job.

What is the name of your primary character? How did you come up with that name?
- Pascal Rosenthal. At the time, I was finishing up Tales of Graces f and loved Pascal's playstyle and her character. "Rosenthal" came from a military corporation in Armored Core 4/Answer.

What is the Race/Tribe of your primary character? Why did you pick that?
- I've changed Pascal's race multiple times (Midlander Hyur at the moment), but she started out as a Highlander Hyur. I chose Highlander Hyur at first because of their strong facial features and because you can actually see muscle tone on them with the sliders. Originally was going to choose a Sea Wolf Roegadyn, but I couldn't find a skin tone that I was happy with.

What is the primary class/job of your primary character? Why did you pick that?
-Monk. I'm usually really lazy, but I like playing busy jobs because it keeps me on my toes. It's also why I prefer to play Warrior over Paladin.

Which Grand Company is your primary character a part of? Why did you pick that?
-Maelstrom. Because i love the ocean... and Merlwyb is pretty awesome.

-On monk, I don't glamour my weapons. However, if i could make it so it looks like I'm fighting barehanded, I'd totally do that.

-Hmm... probably Steel Peak. I always keep an eye out for any moves that can be stunned just in case the Tank's stun isn't up.

- Warlord of the MIst. A friend from my old FC invited me, and so far it's a pretty chill FC.

- Quiet, loyal, but quick to anger. She loves getting into fights where the odds are against her and hates it when people go easy on her. She's afraid of being alone so she hangs around giant crowds, even if she dislikes everyone around her.

-Learning the way of the fist as a means for survival, she quickly earned a reputation befitting of the saltiest of pirates. But beneath Pascal's hardened exterior conceals a shy woman looking for acceptance from others and a place to belong.

-It'd have to be La Noscea simply because it's the nicest to look at. As for least, it'd be Black Shroud because of Sylphlands.

-I usually hang around the Mist, either at the beach or inside my FC room. It's nice and quiet, and watching the sunrise/sunset is beautiful there. Least favorite would have to be Mor Dhona. Don't like all the crystals everywhere and that weird fog.

What is your favorite spot to fight in Eorzea? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-Carteneau Flats (Frontlines!). When it gets chaotic, that's when it's most fun. Least favorite would have to be Sunken Temple of Qarn, because the dungeon sucks.

-The Marketboard in front of our FC House. So close to home! I'd have to say Grindania is my least favorite, but that's because I'm rarely in Gridania.

- Yda because she's adorably crazy. But with Lucia introduced, that may change. I don't think I could choose my least favorite...

-I could say Merlwyb... But I'd have to give it to Raubahn for his "rags-to-riches" backstory. Respect. Kan-e-Senna would have to be my least favorite, but that doesn't mean I don't like her. I like all of them! ...Just some more than others.

-Yda. See above. Urianger, he just seems bland, but i'm glad they gave him some character with the introduction of Moenbryda.

-Ramuh is my favorite for his GLORIOUS beard. Leviathan would be my least because his introduction just didn't sit well with me. They all look pretty cool though!

-Favorite boss goes to the two dragons at the end of Stone Vigil HM. fun fight! As for least favorite, it'd have to be Lahabrea in story missions.

Favorite: Final Job Quest ThemeIt's one of those "all or nothing" feelings.
Least favorite would be the Sylphlands. God i hate that place.

-Limsa Lominsa {Night} because it's the closest to San D'oria's Bagpipes. Least Favorite would be Revanant's Toll.

-Least Favorite:Leviathan's Theme. I like the lead up, but something about the second half bothers me.

-I play on PC and PS4. My PC can run the game with a few small hiccups on High settings. I find myself playing on PS4 more lately.

What sound settings do you play with? Why is that?
-Standard? I guess.

Do you play with a gamepad or with a Keyboard/Mouse? Why is that?
-Play strictly on Gamepad. I started FFXI on PS2 and even when I moved to PC i still used my trusty Dualshock 2. My use of controllers in PC games stem from that. I did mess around with keyboard in the alpha, but that's only because controller support wasn't implemented yet.

The Future:

What Class/Job would you most like to see in the game? Why?
-When I first started FFXI, I fell in love with Samurai. If it turns out to be a DPS in the future, I'm definitely gonna try it out. I'd love to see how a Red Mage would function in a game like this though.

What region would you like to visit most in the world? Why?
-An Eastern-type land. Never got to see one in FFXI, so I'm hoping to see one in the future of FFXIV!

Character Info 1

What is the name of your primary character? How did you come up with that name?
-My only character: Skoll Fenrirson. Skoll, Hati, and Fenrir have been my favorite Nordic mythological characters, to where I've made a main OC called Skoll/Ulfhade. Skoll(FF14 ver) was an expy of her, but he's become his own character over time.

What is the Race/Tribe of your primary character? Why did you pick that?
-Miqo'te, Seeker of the Sun. I was planning to be a Miqo'te since my OC was a very similar style of wolf-person, and I do like cats. Sun seeker since I wanted the eyes, and I also liked the information about them.

What is the primary class/job of your primary character? Why did you pick that?
-Black Mage. I started going White Mage, but I stress far too much in any dungeon/trials, so I went Blm so I wouldn't be so constantly freaking out when grouped. Now I enjoy the class more.

Which Grand Company is your primary character a part of? Why did you pick that?
-Twin Adders, since I started in Girdania and felt loyalty towards it. (I was conj during that part of the quest)

What is your primary character's weapon glamour of choice (if applicable)? Why did you pick that?
-Changes at times. Currently going for a more mage-ish look with glasses/cashmere robes. I had the yukata for a while before that, since it seemed relaxed.

What do you think your primary character's signature ability is? Why do you think that?
-I casts the fire spells that make the people fall down!

Is your primary character a part of a Free Company? If so, what is it? Why did you join that Free Company?
-Yes, they are. I was invited to join the same one that my brother was in (who got me into the game to begin with), and they've been very nice.

Character Info 2 (RP)

Where did your primary character come from? How do they feel about where they came from?
-They came from north of Cotheras, up in the mountains. He left under unhappy circumstances, since his tribe had died out thanks to after effects from Bahamut went loose.

Does your primary character have any family? Who are they? What is their relationship with your primary character?
-He lived in a small tribe (the W tribe), the first son of two with quite a few aunts and sisters, one uncle, and a father. They got along and worked hard together as a family.

What does your primary character look like? Why do they look like they do? What kinds of clothing does your character wear? Why did your primary character pick those clothes?
-He's tan, with light blonde hair-white highlights (at the moment). Yellow eyes. Not really heavily scarred, though probably has some souvenirs from the various primals he's fought. He likes easy to move in, comfortable clothes. Stuff that can take a hit, and last, at least when he's out in the wilds. He's fought a few beasts, and hates repairing clothes all the time. XD

What is your primary character's personality? What do they like? What do they dislike? What are they afraid of? What makes them happy? What makes them sad? What makes them angry?
-He's generally polite, a little melancholy. He tries to keep a smile on his face, though. He likes his friends and his Chocobo companion, people who work hard, and salty foods. He's not a big fan of people who take credit for others work, sweet things. He's afraid of any friends/companions dying. The thought really scares him. He's happy gardening, fishing, and learning about Eorzea when he has the time. Hm, he's sad when he remembers the Meteor event and what it did, and particularly his brothers nameday. It takes a bit to make him angry, actually... probably disrespecting him or those he cares about.

Does your primary character have a backstory? Were there any interesting events in their past that led them to become the people they are today?
-Yep, which I've mentioned a bit above. The loss of his tribe completely changed his personality from being a bit of a cocky show-off to who he is today.

The World 1

What is your favorite region of Eorzea? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-I really like Costa Del Sol, because the beach. XD I also really like Thanalan, which surprised me. I guess I like the desert/scrubland look.

What is your favorite spot to relax in Eorzea? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-My house. Its pretty inside! And pretty outside too! Least favorite...Anywhere with a crapton of high level mobs. Not a big fan of Saspa Spawning Grounds.

What is your favorite spot to fight in Eorzea? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-Hm. I've not really thought of one. I'm not too big into fighting and stuff I guess. I suppose that Saspa is still my least favorite? Or at least the only one I can think of. XD

What is your favorite spot to shop in Eorzea? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-Housing Marketboards! Its close to home! I'm not a big fan of Limsa, I guess. Maybe because of housing?

The World 2

Who is your favorite NPC? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-Uhhhh..Y'da. She's cheerful and upbeat. :3 Least favorite....thats a hard one. I don't really dislike many of them. Oh wait, the Sylphs. I don't like them. DX

Who is your favorite City-State Leader? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-I like Merlwyb. She's pretty badass. 8D I'm not a big fan of the Sultana. She's cute as a button but doesn't seem to do much. D: Could be a result of me starting in Girdania though.

Who is your favorite Scion? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-Uhhh... Y'da? Yah, Y'da. And...that one shifty looking Elezen in a hooded robe. I'M ON TO YOU MISTER .

Who is your favorite Primal? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-Does Odin count? Yes pls? Least favorite...I've only encountered 4 (Ifrit, Titan, Garuda, Odin), and I guess Titan is the least favorite. Probably since I have less memorial feelings associated with him. He didn't make me upset or laugh or anything.

Who is your favorite boss? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-No idea, I generally forget dungeons after running them. D: I don't like dungeons.

Music

What is your favorite song in FFXIV? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-Probably Answers. It's very chilling and beautiful. I don't have a least favorite. Maybe I need to hear more? XD

What is your favorite battle theme in FFXIV? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-I love the silly/upbeat/fun FATE music, like with the gentelmen zombies in Southern Thanalan! I used to just sit and listen to it underneath Minotaur Malm before I hit 50. I guess regular music might be my least favorite?

What is your favorite field/town theme in FFXIV? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-I used to love the theme from the Bramble/South Shroud area, but Cotheras is currently my favorite. Its got a good chilling sound. Least favorite... I dunno. I guess I tend to ignore it if I don't like it.

What is your favorite boss theme in FFXIV? Why is that? Least Favorite? Why?
-Yeah, I don't usually pay attention to the music. Too busy freaking out about not failing.

Gameplay

What graphical settings do you play with? Why is that?
-Average to good, I suppose. What my PC can handle without taxing it. (But turned waaaay down when I try to play on my old laptop. I'm just surprised it works on it!)

What sound settings do you play with? Why is that?
-Full sounds, though they're usually turned down out of game. I'm usually listening to videos/Netflix/music.

Do you play with a gamepad or with a Keyboard/Mouse? Why is that?
-Keyboard/Mouse. I'm familiar with it, and I don't have a gamepad for pc!

The Future

What Class/Job would you most like to see in the game? Why?
-A shapeshifting one. I like shapeshifting, though I can't think of any FF game that had one. ):

What region would you like to visit most in the world? Why?
-Other lands beyond Eorzea, or northeast of Eorzea if not. I don't know much else to visit here. XD

If another Final Fantasy-inspired dungeon or raid were to come out, what would it be inspired by? Why would you pick that?
-Probably FF9, since it could always use more love.

What item or set of items would like most like to see in the game? Why?
-(more) Skirts and Dresses for men! My Manqo'te wants to be pretty too!
