Is NIN Dancing Edge Broken?

Sorry if this was pointed out or asked already but is this skill broken?

Broken as in, not working as intended.

Did the skill in 3 situation, frontal, flank and behind.

all in which the debuff is still applied and the same amount of damage.

Now im not sure if its actually getting its 260 combo potency from flank or not because all the damage came out roughly the same (about 540-560 at i106 with i110 sold weap). but regardless of what position you are, your still gonna get off that slash resist debuff.

Yes, it is broken. Every positioning seems to count as flank.

Mind you, as far as the slashing debuff goes, I think it's fine that way - making you essentially waste a whole combo because the mob turned the wrong way at the last second would suck. However, they should fix the potency thing - it should deal less damage if not executed from the flank.

no, its not broken. the english version of the game is the only one that says it has a positional requirement.

No, it is not broken. Dancing Edge is mistranslated. In every other language in the game there is no flank bonus for the skill.
