Is anyone else struggling with this :-(? I'm based in NZ and nothing else has changed apart from the maint.

being that our isp's in au and nz peer with those in the usa, we tend to have the same congestion issues as american's on verizon, comcast, etc.
Strangely, it affected three of our healers in Sastasha HM today but nobody else....
I bet I can tell what it is.
-Influx of old players who quit until Ninjas came out, then came back almost immediately when 2.4 came out.
-Free Weekenders trying out Ninjas
-New Players on 14-day Trial giving FFXIV a try, namely due to the introduction of--you guessed it--ninjas.
tl;dr: Ninjas are literally the reason why the servers are being crappy right now.
So the internet tubes are full of ninjas, cats, and cat ninjas?
I'm in AU, and i can second the lag issues. However, it's not a constant thing. It seems to be flipping high and low.
Ironically, It's *only* on Ninja that the Lag becomes a problem, aside from the usual "I was 10 yalms from that AoE but got splattered anyway".
The reason its more noticeable on Ninja is the Mudras and Ninjutsu. Being that their recast is 0.5 as opposed to every other sklll being 2 - 2.5, I run into the problem of hitting Jin->Chi->Ten for Huton, get the animation for all three Mudras ... But end with Katon because only the first and third Mudras applied, the server didn't catch the Chi.
Other times it'll take a full second after the Mudra animation is done that the Mudra applies and i can hit the second one. Sometimes I'll Ten->Chi-> Ninjutsu but throw a Fuma Shuriken, only for the Shuriken to vanish halfway and then cast Raiton instead.
But then sometimes i can do all 3 Mudras and Huton/Doton in under 2 seconds and it works in the beautiful way it should.
TL;DR, give us a proper latency indicator ingame please.
inb4 "Get better internet", I'm running on a 100/40 mbps Fiber connection.
Precisely. /10ninjacats
I don't think anyone will give you that kind of gruff. As long as one's connection is listed as "Excellent" on the Character Select screen, you should not be suffering from any kind of server latency whatsoever that is in any way your fault.
