Animation Glitch

I was out fighting some crabs today and i noticed when i use aegis boon and phalanx
the crab dosent move. happens everytime i use aegis boon and phalanx.

Platform: Windows 7 x64
ISP: Cox
Type of Internet Connection: Cable
Date & Time: 8/10/2011 around 12:38 PM CST.
Frequency: Always, Happens every time.
Character Name: Slip Mac
Race: Hyur
World: Wutai
Class/Skill Rank: 32 glad
Physical Level: 49
Party or Solo: Solo
NPC Name: None
Monster Name: None
In-Game Time: Don't know
Steps:
1. target mob
2. aegis boon then phalanx
3. target dosent attack but shows in log he did
