    Thank GOD they made hunts obsolete.
    So happy that I don't have to drop everything and run to some stupid mobs just to have the server almost die due to massive player gatherings.

    Never liked the gameplay of "run around like a chicken to search for a mob you'll then zerg within 10(A) / 40 (S) seconds" anyway.

    I miss them too. Hunts worked on my server. :/ I will agree the rewards were probably a bit high before 2.4, but now hardly anyone is going to fight hunts marks since the rewards are too low (especially in comparison).

    Hunts were popular because they were the best way to grind Myth (less so for Soldiery) and to get Oils and Sands. Now that half of the tome award has been dropped and the weekly restriction from Syrcus Tower has been removed, there's no incentive. It's far, far faster to farm ST for oils and sands and Soldiery (mainly for alt jobs I expect) than do hunts.

    I actually loved hunting before they nerfed B class. The creation of hunting LSs was a great example of cooperation. You could hunt as long as you wanted, drop, join again for awhile, etc. Very casual friendly.

    I still think they should atleast the i90 gear back, I have been farming i90 for my dps class, but all that I find in the dungeons are crafting items.
    So SE either:
    1. Remove crafting items from chest.
    2. Make some dungeons have more chest with i90 items only.

    I'm happy with where it's at now. Hunts actually feel like, well, hunts. I feel no guilt about "pulling early", the enemies are actually tougher to beat now, and still a decent reward. I won't actively hunt anymore, like with a group, but I can just see A's around and claim them as my own with a small PT of FC/LS mates. It's awesome, I'm happy.

    The only thing i ever found wrong with hunts is making it so oil and sand is obtainable by it. Great for those players that think gear= skill i guess
    As far as the main topic goes hunts true have died down, those linkshells that thought they owned all the hunts are hardly around. But this is simply because of the new content and classes, i would think a month or 2 from now they may be popular once more

    Hunts are actually fun nuw since people don't zerg it anymore. Some of the A ranks are pretty tough and get to theither mechanics.

    I think hunts are in a great place right now. There are still plenty of people doing them, but it's thankfully not a ginormous zergfest anymore. And what's neat is you start to realize that the bosses actually have some mechanics - the A rank in Northern Thanalan for example, casts Tornado which will 1 shot if it hits only 1 person, but stacked together the damage is split amongst everyone hit by it. I think they could maaaaybe reduce the HP of hunts back to what it was before they buffed it though, does anyone remember what the % was?

    People and people aren't necessarily the same people.

    But still. Boredom isn't the only factor. Dungeons and hunts are both boring (after the first run or two). But hunts are very low-commitment. I'll do some pretty boring stuff for a few hours if I've got time to break up the monotony with other stuff. Most nights, I have 3-5 hours to play, but only 1 or 2 of those have enough unbroken time to commit to dungeons. The rest of that time, hunts are perfect, because it's no big deal to go AFK or take care of ventures/auctions/unspoiled nodes/whatever several times an hour.

    I have no complaints about the way hunts are now, though. I took advantage of the zerg (toward the end; late to the party) while it was a thing, but I'm not sad to see it go. It's cool getting in on a smaller party that happens to catch things in the moment.

    Hunts do not need to go back to the way they were.

    The only change I want to see made, is some place (Hunts, ST, dungeons, I don't care) needs to up the soldiery. We're getting half as much soldiery as we were getting myth and it's fairly frustrating.
