Let Us Change Skin-Color at Aesthetician

I know you are joking around, but I would love to see a FFXIV, where doing certain things will affect the player.
- If the player spends more time in warmer zones, they get a tan and if they are in cold ones like Ishgard, they keep their skin colour or become a little bit more pale.

Yeah that would be seriously no.

If they made any of my 4 characters even on drop paler than where I set them, I'd be all over that. MMOs have enough racial bias white privilege BS as it is... I don't need that in my Japanese MMO too (it already has more than most American MMOs).

I'm pretty sure a whole lot of white people would freak out if their toons got changed too - even if they have a wide variety of tones to choose from as it is, there'd be a point in this where folks would start not recognizing their character.

I think you are reading it wrong, there is a related bit of information after the list of what you are able to change. It doesn't actually say you can change eye colours so they have not left out anything that they didn't list.

I agree. We could spend all day in the sun and get a tan in real life, so this kind of option should be available in the Aesthetician. (never heard of tanning beds?)

Asking for the ability to Tan is very different to asking for the ability to turn Blue, Green, Red, or any other of the associated colours; would you have it be restricted to only flesh tones? I don't think that's a restriction you'd want right?

It makes no sense in the context of the colours we have available. And you can't really leave it up to dyes, unless you want to get into the Chocobo fruit and wait 6 hours a pop. Though perhaps it would only work if you had feathers.

Anyway you spin it, there is already a option for changing everything you like. Regardless of how it is available, the point is it IS available.

Likely, giving alternative options will be so low on the priority list to the point that you would likely hear 'We have no plans' if you were to have it addressed at all.

Would be nice if we could but only to change our skin colour within the row we use going across. Like using my character for example, I'd be able to go from this pale white to dark grey. Really would be a fun option to have but they'd never give it to us because of fantasias.

- If the player eats too much food and their avatar does not move around alot, they will gain weight.
- If the player is very active, you see more muscle definition. You see the characters more ripped (like how Highlanders and Roes have more muscle definition).
- If the player spends more time in warmer zones, they get a tan and if they are in coldones like Ishgard, they keep their skin colour or become a little bit more pale.
- Movement, if you are fit, you can sprint alot longer and if you arent fit, you can only sprint only for few seconds.

This will never happen, but one can dream.

Nooo, I don't want to become darker or more toned. If it were an option in the barber shop that would be great, but I don't want my character to be restricted from doing things and from going places with the threat of becoming less pretty (in my eyes).

I'd like skin colour, horns, eye colour, muscle and limbal rings to be available in the barber shop. They are pretty easy to change IRL.

yes i heard its coming but not sure where i read it. it's such a shame that, that our outfits, dyes and hair style colors, all can be used in different ways and it also has to match with ur skin color too. at least give us the option to add a tan if u want, or more white if we go for a different outfit, thats all i need

Many games that offer this sort of service within the game charge in game currency based off of the changes made kind of like City of Heroes did. A small base charge and each thing you wanted to change had a separate charge to it. Change a lot, pay a lot. Change just your hair color and you wouldn't even pay 1K.

I would not only like to be able to change my skin color but also the eye colors, I shouldn't have to pay $10 every time I want to do something small like the eye colors.
