Vanity Patch Needed! & Unique armor sets!

I would hate to see race exclusive gear. That's basically a bunch of armor I can't wear for no good reason and I have no idea why anyone would ask for that.

1) We're tired of going to More Spamma and finding that everyone looks alike, and

That's not true though. There's plenty of armor in the game to mix and match and the reality is that you rarely find 2 players looking the same on a party. So you're tired of something that rarely if ever happens.

What would you rather want, for all cats or all lalas to look the same? Is a good thing that gear is not race-specific. That means there is a bigger collection of equipment for a player to pick and choose. Means more unique looks by mix and matching various equipments.

If gear were to be race specific your cat would have a much more limited choice and we would have all cats looking the same.

I would like something like this also. So many armor models are being recycled, some hairstyles are literally copy paste(Elezen has like 2-3 duplicates)... I hate when games do this type of stuff.

I could not agree with this more. That's why I'm for the idea of there being craftable versions of the starting gear that isn't race specific.

Tell that to the people who still Glam the starter gear and the undergarments that you buy from the NPC near the main aether crystal in the middle of town more then anything else.. There's always people who want to look different and true there is enough armor in the game for that reason but the end result is that you still look the same no matter how you mix and match it unless SE is willing to allow all armor in the game to be colored and thats not happening. But from a culture stand point there's a lot of people that would love to know what there races wore, thing things that they did etc.. Also this doesn't have to be a new thing all the time, more of a now and then down the line thing change up the monotony a little..

Crafting isn't the only way to implement this but it is the easiest as long as SE doesn't make impossibly difficult (or incredibly expensive) like they did with current 2.4 armors lol There already experimenting with a token system in the current 2.4 dungeons, so there's another way and i'm sure there will be more. Though i'm not against SE releasing the starting to other races having a timed exclusive thing isn't out of the question either

I disagree completely with the notion that there are many "clones" walking around this game. Coming from other MMO's where you simply choose your face and your hairstyle aka FFXI, WoW, Swtor etc.One of the main things that attracted me to this game was the fact that I could actually remember people on my server by their unique looks. I've never met my twin and it is easy for me to remember all the friends I've met over the months by remembering their characters unique appearances. With every patch they add new hairstyles and increase the amount of armors in the game which ultimately leads to even more possibilities for glamours. Also, with the addition of new dyes and allowing older items to be dyeable increases the amount of unique looks we can create for ourselves.

To be honest the only clones I see running around this game are the annoyingly unoriginal miqote or hyur girls who run around in bikinis and long hair with absolutely no originality as they do not use some of the cool looking armor sets available.
However that being said, I love the idea of race specific gear. In a game where you have different races, it is nice to have unique items/hairstyles/facial features pertaining to each race so they may remain unique. I think that is where this game is lacking ATM, many races aren't looking unique enough from one another. However, they aren't clones either. I understand the concern that the OP has that every time a new hairstyle is released for a particular race, it is then made available to all the other races the following patch. Perhaps this should change in the future and do what they did first patch where they make a few new general hairstyles available to everyone and create unique hairstyles for each race and simply keep it available only to them.
