    Party Member List Visibility Issues

I would like to request that you add a box around the list of party members and give it a transparency setting like the one for the chat box. I find it very difficult to see the names, etc. clearly when there is nothing behind them to distinguish from the background images. I like the blue lines across the top and down the right side with the "star" in the top right corner, it makes it look cool... this box would help to make it more prominent and easier to see.

I would also be interested to see what ideas other might have...

Along the lines of the above suggestion, there have been other comments and suggestions that have been made, as well as some answers we wish to post up on the EN forums. (And I'll make sure to pass the above along, too!) The following comes from the main person in charge of the UI, Minagawa.

The party members list is too small. I think there are some people who have said if it was made too big it would get in the way, so please allow us to change the size as we like. Also make it so we are on the top of the party member list.
We plan on addressing these aspects, but since we are unable to implement them with the current system, we will be proceeding with this once fixes have been made to the basic portions of the party member display. As soon as these are finished we will address them.

When attempting to cast Raise on a player who is K.O.ed, I use the up and down key on the gamepad, but I would like you to make so that it skips the players who aren't K.O.ed and only select those players that are.
We are actually currently working on implementing this.

The behavior for party members that are just slightly too far away is pretty strange. When selecting Cure or other actions and targeting players that are a bit far off in the distance, they are targeted for a moment, then the target is forcibly removed, and the cursor returns to the action bar.
When the distance in which you are able to target them is exceeded, the cursor is set to return to the action bar. It can be thought that you are right on the border of being able to target/not being able to target, so try bridging the gap just slightly.

Not only for the party member list, but also for the information displayed for party members in the system menu, you can’t get any information on classes or HP/MP for players that are far away as it is displayed as ????/????. Can you do something about this? I’d really like it if you could display which area that player is currently in as well.
Addressing this immediately is a bit difficult, but in the future we will be addressing this so it is possible to see which area they are in and all of the party member’s information no matter where they are.

It would make it a lot easier to understand if you could make it so each person's class icon was displayed next to their HP bar.
Though this a feature we're discussing for the future, we will be making it so not only the class icon is displayed in the party member list, but other information as well. We’d like to make it so you can customize what you would like displayed.

Regardless if you are selecting something or not, the orange selection box often remains. It's confusing when 2 or 3 orange selection boxes are displayed.
The development team is looking into this phenomenon and is proceeding with their investigation. I apologize that I cannot make any promises about specific timing, but whenever there is some progress I will be sure to let you know via forum or topics.

Thanks for the feedback and we look forward to hearing more.

I wish we could resize all the HUDs or UI, I end up playing in 1280 x 720 resolution because the HUDs or UI gets so small in the 1920 x 1080 resolution that i have to be up close to my 24 inch computer monitor to see it clearly.

Super cool, especially would love the feature to choose what information to see next to every member hp/mp bar in party. Class display is really comfortable, plus would be nice NOT to show status effects like "Comradery", Equipment Damaged etc... this kind of information is needed only to the player him/herself

And let me add: I dont like the fact that the current party members list widget resizes from its center when more members join/leave the party. So, for example, If I have two friends in my party and I have the members list widget placed down my HP/MP/TB bar and a fourth player joins the party, the widget will resize in a manner that will overlay my HP bar so I have to move the members list widget and move it again after, for example, the fourth players leaves. Would be nice to have it scale from its top or bottom (option to choose?)

EDIT: and I 100% agree with what DonMega just said

A temporary fix for this, for those of you who don't know, is to target the person again and cancel your target.

Also, thanks for all the info Bayohne ^^

I'm definitely not satisfied with the target distance response. This has messed me up so many times, it needs to be addressed.

This would be very nice. It would also be nice to be able to move other characters to whatever positions we would like in the party member list. I like the tanks to be on the top of the list when healing.

This is actually a huge problem when using a controller to target your party members for healing. When a player is out of range you cannot get to the next person in the party list, the only way to get around the player out of range is to scroll the opposite direction. Even worse is when two people are out of range (say one on the top of the list and one on the bottom) you cannot scroll through any of the party members at all.

This happens when the person zones. I've noticed the character continues to "target" someone during a zoning with the actual character, but the target cursor is removed. I've had my whole party list orange doing this. You should remove characters targeting completely during zoning or make a character continue to target the zoning individual.

Just wanted to comment on this one, another simple fix would be to skip over that person completely until they are in range to target and/or cast on. I don't know how many times i tried healing player #3 using my gamepad because player #2 is barely in range and keeps reseting my cursor, this cause me to go up through list from 8 alll the way up to 2 which in that time player #2 could have been killed..

Or it could just function like XI's <st>, and say 'out of range' if you try to cast on them. No need to skip over.
