It does scale from the bottomAnd let me add: I dont like the fact that the current party members list widget resizes from its center when more members join/leave the party. So, for example, If I have two friends in my party and I have the members list widget placed down my HP/MP/TB bar and a fourth player joins the party, the widget will resize in a manner that will overlay my HP bar so I have to move the members list widget and move it again after, for example, the fourth players leaves. Would be nice to have it scale from its top or bottom (option to choose?)
A temporary fix for this, for those of you who don't know, is to target the person again and cancel your target.Regardless if you are selecting something or not, the orange selection box often remains. It's confusing when 2 or 3 orange selection boxes are displayed.
Also, thanks for all the info Bayohne ^^
I'm definitely not satisfied with the target distance response. This has messed me up so many times, it needs to be addressed.

Agreed. Seriously I get so frustrated trying to use Accomplice on the people near me via the party list, since when somebody is far away it forcibly kicks me off the selection making it impossible to select said person!
100% AGREE!If a player is out of range they should just be skipped when scrolling through the party list.
"When the distance in which you are able to target them is exceeded, the cursor is set to return to the action bar. It can be thought that you are right on the border of being able to target/not being able to target, so try bridging the gap just slightly. "
I hate this cause i dont want to bridge the gap i just want to cure the next person on the list. I dont get the thinking behind this but hopefully they will come up with a better solution. Just bypass the player and got to next closest target.

I just want an option to lock ALL UI widgets into place, so I can click without worrying what I'm gonna drag =|
Player

On the subject of action sub-targeting, as with Raises are there plans to fix things like cures so that they won't target enemies? Or to make sub-target of defensive spells able to cycle through the party member list as in XI?
If you don't think new summoner is better, you're playing the wrong game.
Targeting and range of spells is a disaster as it stands now, the whole idea that height difference between players is used in distance calculations annoys me to no end. Nothing like standing next to a player a few feet away to get the distance is too far when trying to buff/cure w/e.
