Like many classes, we do not have a "rotation" as such- there is an ideal opener, and a priority list.

    Opener:

Huton (prepull) -> Mutilate (Suiton) -> Spinning Edge (Trick Attack) -> Shadow Fang (Kassatsu) -> Spinning Edge (Raiton) -> Gust Slash (Blood for Blood) -> Aeolian Edge (Internal Release) -> Mutilate

    (brackets are off global cooldown)

This opener is one I grabbed from Firana, a rather notorious Ninja over on Reddit. This is made assuming you have a WAR putting up Storm's Eye.

Aside from the opener, just run off a priority.

    1. Huton.
    2. Ninjutsu available? Huton up? Suiton -> Trick Attack.
    3. Trick Attack on CD but Ninjutsus available? Raiton.
    4. Maintain Shadow Fang and Mutilate (and Dancing Edge if you have no WAR).

I'm by no means the greatest Ninja around, I only 50'd yesterday and FATE grinded most of the way to 50- so I've only really had a couple hours practice with this so far.
There very well may be corrections needed to be made to this or adjustments- but for the most part just do the above

Priority based. I think the Ninja walk in shadow thread has the priorities somewhere. If I made a rotation it'd be a lot to type out. Honestly I suggest looking at the priorities then practicing on a dummy to get a feel for it. There's going to be a lot of if X is the situation than use Y attack. If X is close to CD skip Y attack and use Z. It takes a bit of practice. If you can't find the priority list ill try to type the stuff out for you or give you a loose rotation.

I dont have a link or anything but i can give you a quick glimpse at the rotation I use currently. With this rotation i have been able to achieve about 520 on a dummy.
if you need to see if im credible or not i guess the dreadwyrm boots that are on my lodestone will have to do.

When you are playing ninja your are going to be running two rotations at the same time. Ninjutsu and regular I will go over them each separately.

    Ninjutsu Rotation
your ninjutsu will have a 20 second cd so this rotation will have a move used once ever 20 seconds and completely repeats about every 70 seconds
    the rotation.

Huton -> Suiton -> trick attack (off gcd) -> raiton -> If above 15sec on huton raiton again if below 15 sec huton

*now the trick comes when kassatsu is up. for your first suiton you should be able to kassatsu raiton right after. this is a good dps boost and should be weaved between gcds.
that rotation would look like this: suiton -> gcd -> trick attack -> gcd ->kassatsu -> gcd -> raiton

*you should try to always use kassatsu for raiton as it will always crit and that has the biggest effect on raiton

************try to keep trick attack on cd at all times, but dont compromise huton its ok for huton to be down for 5-10 seconds but anything over that is pretty bad

    Regular rotation
Ninjas regular rotation is actually pretty simple.
    the rotation is as follows

    spinning -> gust -> dancing -> mutilate -> spinning -> shadow fang -> spinning -> gust -> aeolian

from here on out it is just refreshing as you see fit. so from this it would go

    spinning -> gust-> dancing -> spinning -> shadow fang -> spinning -> gust -> aeolian -> mutilate

it would go something very similar to this.

so combined you would be doing both at the same time.

You would begin by throwing out huton to goet your atk speed up and then go into you normal rotaion while throwing your ninjutsu rotation on cd

DISCLAIMER: this is off the top of my head it is not perfect but i hope that it helps give you a basic understanding of the classes "rotation"

It is definitely trickier to play compared to my main DRG but it's definitely a lot more fun

pouncing's post is very good - I just was messing around and doing basically the same thing (I was excluding dancing edge because it was ST and I was sure a WAR or NIN was doing it elsewhere in the alliance), but using that priority list (probably not perfectly) I was #1 on the enmity list versus Xande against 4 other DPS in my group with i110 weapons including another NIN - I was i83 with i55 knives.

It works, I think we will need to wait and see if it is optimal, but it certainly is a very competitive dps strategy.

    Opener: M > SF > SGA > SGA > SF > SGA > go to loop
    Looper: M > SGA > SF > SGA > SGA > SF > loop

Immediately proceed to Opener whenever Suiton>TA is up. Replace odd SGAs with SGDs when no WAR or other NIN doing SGD.

This assumes you have Huton up at all times, for obvious reasons.

I tried out different rotations, but it's tricky depending on the pty setup and situation, when they gonna go after the mob knowing you'll have your mudra recast ready when you cast huton before the tank pulls.

The setup I use is for the opener is Mutilate while huton is up, spinning edge > BfB, gust slash > Internal, Mudra for Suiton > Dancing Edge, Trick Attack > Mug > Kassatsu, spinning edge > Mudra for Raiton, Shadow Fang.

    (mutilate first) 60/300-150-200/240-150-200-260 - 1290
    (shadow fang first) 150-200/240-60/300-150-200-260 -1270
    (Dancing Edge first) 150-200-260-165-220/240-66/300 - 1101

Mutilate -> Shadow Fang -> DE is actually better.

It may be trickier, but at least you won't die to magic damage so often, when the rest of the raid grp wouldn't. (ahem... T11).
