    Surecast - Allow Move-&-Casting

    This would make this ability just perfect.

    Movement is a cast-interruption too, so it makes sense to the current description.

    Could be a trait just for BLM if you're worried about it being OP for healers.

    Heck, would curb the FL's nerfs a bit.

    Honestly, it wouldn't be horrible for balance either... and would be pretty sweet gameplay-wise.

    If such a thing was to be done, it'd be nerfed immensely. As in duration period of 3-5sec at best. Enough time to get the one cast off, if not most of one (enough time to move if needed and stand stationary before buff wears off). The reason being is how casters do not have to worry about TP use, so Sprint is essentially another get-away-always card while heavy damage/healing is inflicted/cured. Combine that with the fact that Swiftcast also exists and you have an almost always on upkeep of moving casters. So to further prevent that, the cooldown would have to be 2-3min as well.

    Mind you, I'm not saying that even that would be a bad thing. In fact, I would quite enjoy the idea of it, it's just that as it currently stands, a 10sec free cast that's uninterruptable even while moving (that has a 30sec cooldown) sounds a little too... overpowered.

    the damage output of a black mage would be nothing different in comparison to bard.

    A bard is already like that what the topic starter wants..



    and yeah.. i hope that this wont find it into the game ever.. mages in GW2 are just pathetic because of that

    They removed mobile casting for PvP purposes (yes this is the exact reason.) So..it's not happening outside of swiftcast.

    I just want to note: Many abilities have changed functionality in PvP. If allowing a single move-and-cast in PvP is too much, they could disable that aspect in PvP.

    Anyway I'm hella in favour of this. As is the only time I ever use it as a WHM is if it's one of the rare unavoidable AoEs I need to be healing through that also, rarely, would interrupt my cast (Most "Large Unavoidable Raid Damage" skills seem coded not to interrupt, or maybe I'm just lucky?)

    By that logic there's no reason for Surecast to exist at all (OK, arguably true heh) since Swiftcast does everything Surecast can do today + makes spells faster. (I don't think there's any way you can interrupt a spell done via Swiftcast, is there?)
    Surecast is a subset of swiftcast, it would still be so if it made you immune to movement interruption, just a little less weak.
    Why have it? Because swiftcast isn't always up, I guess.
