    Crafting items in dungeons....still overkill....

    Let me start off by saying I love SE and I love the game but seriously, this is stupid. I thought SE had heard us, and listened to us when we said the crafting drops in dungeons were absurd in terms of drop rates. I could have sworn multiple times they said they had planned to fix it. Why then do the new EX dungeons all still drop over 75% crafting items that are arguably worse than the last collection of items?

    I don't get it and nobody I've grouped with likes it. Why is it sill like this?

    I've actually noticed an increase. Before 2.4, I'd be lucky to see a single piece of gear drop once every other run. After 2.4, I see 2-3 pieces of gear drop every run.

    It's far from perfect (the mats really should be inside the non-boss treasure chests), but it has actually improved.

    Not to mention Antique gear is a nice idea but now EVERY person in a party rolls Need further reducing your odds of obtaining it.

    that's...not exactly true. If you factor in the drop rates for separate pieces you actually have a better chance now since the loot table is smaller than it was.

    While that certainly is true, it is also a good alternative to running the exact same dungeon fifty times over and constantly having gear not of your job drop. At least with Antique, it always drops consistently and you have a 1 in 4 shot at it every time.

    yeah antique is good , way better than 1 item for tank heal caster brd mnk drg (now nin too), 1/4 > 1/7

    I agree, personally I don't like it either. Running dungeons should be for the gear. The amount of crafting mats in the new dungeons is crazy, and I've yet to see anything but them drop.

    It really seems to me like the new dungeons are purely for vanity. When you only need item level 80 to get into ST, the exact same item level you need to get into the new dungeons, I don't see much of a point in even doing the new ones for anything but the tomes. It's as if the myth sets are intended to be rare vanity now that can be skipped over completely for gear progression.

    Other than the tomes, the accessories from them could also be useful, but honestly with the amount of times you'd have to run it and sif through crafting materials to get the specific accessory you want, you'd probably have gained enough soldiery to just get an ilvl 100 one instead.

    So really, it just seems like they're only for vanity purposes now.

    I'm OK with the crafting drops only because they're pretty valuable. Selling the loots for 6-10k gil apiece afterward is no joke.

    I'm also OK with how they've handled the i90 stuff in this patch. I like that they've been moved to dungeon drops (this is very logical for new Level-50 players and their progression), and it's also nice because I can stock them up for a couple alt jobs. However, I was sad to see no vanity items like in 2.3's dungeons.

    Well, no new vanity sets like the fist fighter's, divine war, etc. Just a new way to get old gear.
