We used to be able to in the beta. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with how irritating it would be to target stuff with little airships cluttering up the screen.

That's a dumb reason, but I'm sure that's the reason.

You teammate will appreciated if you don't clutter the screen with minions on things like coil. Can you imagine the verbal abuse you'd get if your cute little whatever was covering up the dark matter bulb in the center of T6 and causes a wipe? Or they confuse your spriggan for another in Copperbell HM?

This. Please let us keep our minions out at all times, and summon the previously used minion upon login. Add a filter so that you can't target minions if they're that big of a deal.

I think it has something to do with minions having a tie-in with companions, for some unusual reason. Ever noticed that you can't have a minion out while you have your bird summoned? It's such an unusual restriction.

Also please let us set a minion to roam about our personal room.

As someone who is not overly fond of minions in general I am all for this. The only minion I care about at all is the wolf pup. I'd love to be able to name him.
