    An Idea for a Dungeon/Notorious Monster in Mor Dhona

    Greetings!

    If you have yet to travel to Mor Dhona or haven't been there lately there is a airship in the middle of Silvertear Lake with the remains of a dragon hanging from it, which can be referred to as The Keeper of the Lake.

    Would it not be a good idea, since the development has stated they wish to implement dragons, to stick the next dungeon or NM in this area?

    If said place were a dungeon, adventurers could fight waves of monsters as they draw closer to the airship. Once they reach the airship they could stumble upon a dragon egg that the dragon whose remains are now attached to the airship fought against the Garlean Empire long ago to protect. The dragon in the egg could then hatch and proceed to fight the adventurers because their presence woke it from it's long slumber.

    If said place were an NM spot, the dragon could be a Highly Notorious Monster with a 24 hr+ spawn. Or an instanced fight requiring hard to obtain key item to enter the battle so that the fight isn't spammed every 5 minutes and people get burnt out on it in a week.

    To add variety & suspense to either of these situations, there could be a rare instance where instead of fighting the newborn dragon adventurers would have to fight a much harder dragon (like the other parent of the egg).

    I think this would tie in to the lore already in place surrounding Mor Dhona and would provide quite the exciting adventure!

    Thoughts? Opinions?

    That was annoying in FFXI

    Keep HNM in a something of a raid type.

    YES TO 24+ HR SPAWNS.

    But with good droprates.

    So that the monster kills are rare, but one shell does not NEED to monopolize the NM because the droprate isn't s#!t. Get what they need and move on.

    Everyone gets a go, no shell is killing it for 9 months because they cant get 1 drop.

    Edit:
    Make the gear dropped from the 24+ respawn NMs EQUAL to any other gear of appropriate level. No more "The best sword ever" dropping 1% from a 3 week repop.

    And make the same gear obtainable by other means!

    Yes to this, i like this idea for 14. It would give more of a reason to level up and more of a reson to try and getan item that is good. I think it should be a 6-12 hour pop but with a drop rate of about 25% and a item that is some sort of body piece that everyone can wear so not to have one class with a godly item.

    This won't happen. You see the gillies camping king behemoth for rare/ex items, and selling them once they dropped? If they have an NM that spawns 24 hours, even with a good drop rate, it'll be overcamped forever. People still camp on top of each other over stuff that's 100% drop like joyeuse.

    Yeah definitely no more long repop timers. it's stupid.

    I'd rather have a long quest to get a key item to pop the HNM instead.

    i prefer my nm/hnms to have a 3% drop rate and a 24-36hr spawn window.

    i want multiple ways to get the same gear...24hr hnm spawns, instanced stuff, whatever.

    nms on a 5min spawn timer is not the way to do it.

    I agree.

    24+ hour respawns makes the fights MUCH more epic becuase they dont happen every 15 minutes on queue.

    Just make the gear OBTAINABLE by other means!!!
