Can't reply to moogle letter

I am a little uncertain if this is the correct forum to post this, but here goes.

I know we can't send letters to people who are not on our friendlists. However, a while back a person on my friendlist decided to quit the game, and I believe he even deleted his character. So I removed him from my friend list. Today I got a letter in my mooglebox saying he was back, but I can't reply to that letter.

I'm not quite certain how he managed to send me that letter, but in any case; shouldn't I be able to reply to it...?

That Friends List issue has been brought up before. Even if you remove a person from your Friends List, -YOU- remain in that person's list. This is used by some people to stalk other players.

In your case, I think the system is working as intended, although the result is weird. Because you are in his friends list, but he is not in yours, the mail system allows him to send a letter to you but you cannot reply. A quick solution would be to send a Tell if you are both online, or look him up using the Search function. Obviously this does not work if he is not online, so hopefully the devs do something about that Friends List thing.

Yeah, we managed to get in touch while we were both online, so the problem is solved. Still, you'd think it would be possible to reply to someone sending you a letter. :I
