Personally I'd like to see enhanced convalesence also add an increases cure potency effect to the PLD, maybe double cure potency. This would make cure's from the paladin comparable to stoneskin for the duration of convalesence.

Would still be less hate than flash. The T13 weapon for PLD is the same magic damage as an ilvl 37 cane.
I like the idea of the PLD getting a self heal. But we get casting interrupts all the time for just stoneskin. MP is tight when holding large mobs with flash. Some sort of ability maybe for Heavensward? Can't wait to see the level 60 abilities for all the classes! And Dark Knight!
What about a full penta melded HQ i90 with full mind HQ accessories also penta melded gear? I would have to check the calculator when I get home. But that sounds like it could work well. Maybe...
That's like pouring all your bonus stat points into STR as a WHM and then using gear and materia to boost STR further; you're still going to hit for far less than an actual DPS that was built from the ground up for that sort of thing.
Paladins actually have a fairly good base MND compared to other non-healing classes, and that can always be complimented by equipment, foodstuffs, or other bonuses. It's really the lack of traits which increase healing/spell potency by +x% that prevent Paladins from being prevalent curers. But with Riot Blade being a nearly inexhaustable source of MP as long as an enemy is around, I can see why they went this route.
In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
I could see PLD getting some support capabilities. Maybe spells cast on a PLD are amplified in some way. Perhaps PLD gets a Sacred Prism spell. Spells cast on the PLD are shared amongst the group. Stoneskin on a prism'd PLD gives stoneskin to everyone. Give a reason a PLD could OT.
Remember Vivi and Steiner's partnership abilities in IX? Vivi would cast an element on Steiner's sword making him do elemental dmg. BLM cast Fire on the PLD, makes next WS an AoE or something. There's no elemental wheel so dunno if that would work.
If nothing else, have Cure go off VIT for a PLD instead of MND.
Healer Synergy - Unlocks use of Sacred Prism. Must be in Shield Oath. 10 sec duration, 2 minute recast, one charge. Allows benficial spells to be cast on the PLD and then shared amongst party members within 20y of the PLD. Only certain spells can be bounced off PLD. Spells cast on PLD use PLD MP.
Caster Synergy - Unlocks Elemental Affinity. Must be in Sword Oath. 10 sec duration, 2 minute recast. Allows dmg dealing spells to be cast on PLD for various effects. Only some spells may be cast on PLD. Uses PLD MP.

Aegis Boon is essentially bloodbath.I expect that these were removed to make the Jobs easier to understand from a new player perspective. PLD is a tank, and throwing in healing spells as part of it's standard toolset would mean that new players would have something else to consider when tanking.
Definitely love to see these return when the level cap increases, though. There's been enough time for people to get used to what roles do, now I'd like to see things get a little more complex and put in some more meaningful, tactical decision choices when it comes to what moves you use (some jobs kind of have this feel already but it's not really emphasised).
But Holy Succor was fantastic for clutch moments.
Cover+Holy Succor could save a lot of clutch moments.

Yeah give me a Flare Sword and Doomsday Sword(caster lvl3 LB :P)and i would be extremely happy, now before someone says "those doesnt fit for paladin" well like many said its just miss translation from Knight, well guess what? Steiner was a knight so HA! :3
1) SMN gets it only because SE had the brilliant idea to share the base class of a DPS class with a healer class. And SMN heals 400ish only at 50. Which is nothing.pure dps classes like summoner get physick and a trait to improve the spell and black mages that shouldn't even have the ability to heal are capable of healing much better than a paladin due to their magical attributes, so I think Paladins should get some reliable unique cures that would mostly be to assist with their tanking.
2) What magical attributes? BLM has no mind at all, they heal even less than a SMN. Which is also nothing. Just to make it clear for you, intelligence, the primary stat of black mage, doesn't affect heals. Mind does. And black mages don't have mind stats at 50 gear. And in case you mean below lv50, this whole thread is pointless. Comparing other classes "capable" of healing. And BLM heals the same as a PLD.
