Rogue/Ninja Attack Power

My Rogue has for attack power of 48. That is my strength level
My dex level is 65
Does dex control attack power ?
I know that Bard shows Dex as attack power, is this different ?

Rogue/Ninja uses DEX as their primary damage stat.

I was just concerned that if I put everything in dex does my attack power go up ?

My Bard has attack power the same number at Dex

OP, are you checking your attributes on the lodestone by chance?

I noticed today that it does, in fact, show current STRENGTH as rogue/ninja's attack power instead of DEXTERITY. In-game however, I had no issue.

Yes dex is the only stat needed, i am currently at 42 NIN and have noticed attack power is not huge but do think it scales up as you get higher level, better gar, etc.

OP, You're fine. It's a bug somewhere showing STR instead of DEX as attack power. It has no affect on the actual game mechanics though.

Well PS4 had an update today. Now it shows dex as attack power
