Something I would like to see would be the ability to accept a queue while in the process of zoning. I have actually missed a queue before because it popped while I was in the process of zoning (yes I really really want a new computer but can't afford one yet).

They don't need to tell us the spawn time of every fate in the area, but to give out "hunts" that require hours camping a zone for one FATE to spawn is just cruel. Either make a way for people with that hunt to trigger the FATE (maybe give the trigger a 30m cool down from the time of failure/completion to prevent farming a single FATE with instant respawns) or give those hunters a way to "find their mark and set up an alert system" aka a quest style alert saying that the mob has appeared.

    For the PC client? Why?

SE didn't learn its lesson from FFXI's infamous "PS2 limitations" holding the world back?

Actually I have a very simple solution to this for the PC version... addon support. The players will take care of this themselves if you just let them use the tools.

addon support creates "PC Master Race" sentiment, which is against what SE is trying to accomplish with ffxiv.

While the major factor will be PS3 limitation, and one day PS4 limitations there's also PC limitations. By PC limitations I mean lower end PCs, in particular laptops. For an MMO to be successful, or functional for that matter, you need to have as many players you can get. For FF14 that's on a console primarily and as we know they have fixed hardware so you have to be very careful what you do because you can't tell people to go grab an i7 upgrade. It also seems in Japan most players play on a console. From personal experience on Moogle, an EU realm, there's probably about 50% here playing on console, it's a very substantial amount of the player base. I doubt most of them have upgraded to a PS4 yet.

If anyone frequently other MMOs and their forums you hear daily squabbles about how they can't run the game on their PC. usually they are unhelpfully told that they should upgrade their toaster. In FF14 this isn't really an issue but there have been issues where there's hundreds of people and it gets jerky but in normal play not usually an issue. This is down to their caution with what they do. I play on reasonably powerful PC and yes it can be annoying having to go through two menus instead of having it just there because lower end PCs and consoles would struggle with the extra load but isn't their caution worth it if it means that MORE players can play and that keeps our world full of people and running smoothly.

What about just show only the relevant bar for the given class?

There have been a large number of viewable UI additions since game release. I find it hard to believe the "PS3 limitation" limit has already been reached, on why we cannot see party member's TP bar. And because everyone will forever have the same amount of max. TP, it never needs a number, reducing the number of such "limitations" that need to be viewed. Either a bar, or a number, both is not needed, like HP and MP.

In doing so, we would then be required to introduce a feature that will allow players to switch the display between TP and MP smoothly, even during battle. We would appreciate your patience while the development team continues to research if and how to efficiently display TP bars for all party members. We’ll be sure to share any updates we have on this in the future.
What about having the display cycle through TP and MP every 5 seconds or so? It would keep the display the same size as it is now and we'd get to view everything.
