For others you can paste a map link into chat and the rest of the party can click it to apply a marker.

As a healer, debuffs that can't be dispelled have a shield around it... or something. ANYTHING. Just let me know I can't dispel it!
^hmm... useful but a bit inefficient.
Alliance Markers that can be placed on the Map & shown automatically would be far superior.
Pings that pop up too could assist this even further, if map is closed a small arrow could appear temporarily in the compass for party members.
In any case, THANK YOU, good to know.
^ this is horribly complicated and why this game shouldn't be played with a controller lol.
<pos> will drop a flag at your current location.. To drop one somewhere else on the map is... shift + left click? ctrl? Something like that it takes about 5 seconds then you type <flag> into chat like he said.
Newer players to MMO games will likely draw from their experiences playing FPS games, GTA, Dragon Age, Skyrim, etc.. and they will evaluate a MMO based on that criteria. But other online games (and offline RPGs) are designed to be picked up, played for maybe 5 months and then abandoned for when the next big game comes along. A Veteran MMO gamer knows that the experience of the game is stretched out over years, and if crafted properly, it leaves players with some of the best gaming experiences to be found anywhere. This is the problem most content is solo and you get your group action from a cross-server queueing tool. This is not like older MMOs where servers developed real communities. It's more like MacDonald's Drive-Thru, where you queue up, do your run, then never meet those people again.
This, so many times. I don't get why they removed it from the main release.
You can make it so that you will only see the debuffs you apply to the mob. Not quite the same, but it might be able to help.
Another QoL update I would like BACK is the original Macro icons for all the various abilities. The macro icons we have now are far too few and often confuse me when I make a macro and then a few days later I can't remember what that Purple Crystal icon I used was supposed to tell me.
Please SE, give us back our macro icons.
If the reason we can't have them is PS3 limitations, well then give PS3 the set we have now and give PS4/PC back the old ones. I tire of hearing "PS3 limitations" as an excuse![]()
I'm 100% serious.
I will add that if you don't know the reason they removed the ability to show/hide quests from the on screen window is because!!!!!!! (this is what Square said mind you)
The Japanese players found it confusing that quests could be removed from the on screen window.... Yea that happened. Apparently opening the quest log and hitting a check box was too confusing.

You can use the icons for all the various abilities. The command is /micon "ability". Such as /micon "Succor"
I do remember that post from the beta forums. Personally I don't agree with the reasoning (and a lot of people on the beta forums did not either) but if its that much of an issue for the Japanese player base, then don't add the function to the Japanese client, or make it something you have to turn on in settings.

As there may be more actions that directly affect the TP of other players introduced in the future, the dev. team would like to work on adding in a display for party member TP. However, there is a limit to the number of items that can be displayed on the screen at the same time, so we have considered swapping the MP bar to instead show the TP bar.
In doing so, we would then be required to introduce a feature that will allow players to switch the display between TP and MP smoothly, even during battle. We would appreciate your patience while the development team continues to research if and how to efficiently display TP bars for all party members. We’ll be sure to share any updates we have on this in the future.

I imagine it wouldn't be very difficult to do.
Signs already link over the mob's head, having them link in the Mob-list is literally the same thing just elsewhere.
TP links to the personal TP Bar, doing so in the Party List would again be identical.
