Is there currently a non-level synced frontline?

While it's definitely good to see you in this thread and answering our concerns, Grekumah, do you mind if I ask you a question? Are there any plans to raise the ILv sync threshold as new gear comes out for PvP or in the next expansion?

Then remove Morale and the rest of the stats from the gear. There is no incentive to PvP aside from the glamour fodder that is PVP gear (And there is only one set per class worth glamouring. The rest are just reskins of lower level gear with slight differences). Wolves Den is all but dead, and Frontlines makes use of exactly zero of the utility PvP gear is supposed to provide. While I do understand the group of new players not wanting to get ran over by people sporting a full set of PvP gear, there is no choice or progression for those who want to actually PvP aside from the same rewards granted from dungeons/dailies/etc.

Just do PvE if its not going to be done right.

PvP gear and Morale were changed for 2.4 those very reasons. The Crit/Det/sSpeed priorities on the updated PvP gear makes them more effective in Frontlines than most of the PvE gear with semi-dead stats such as Acc and Parry.

That or maybe they can do a Guild Wars II kinda map, where pvp is consistant and u get points every 5-10min based on what u did or help to do. They could make morale count there and pvpers could just jump in w/o the que times when they felt like it. They'd prolly have to make a new map that's wider range to pull that off though...

PvP gear as a whole should be best in slot for PvP, end of story. The reason you level within PvP is so you get said gear to become more powerful against other players. The right side pieces could have different pieces for different sub stats for whatever build you were trying to go for (SS, Parry, Crit, etc) on top of Morale and even Materia, which should be used in PvP regardless if it is Frontlines or Den. The fact that Morale is disabled at all is pretty stupid and pointless. Every other game gives players the option in substats by offering different pieces of PvP gear on top of PvP stats, this is the only one that refuses to do so.

There is entry level PvP gear and materia new players could use til they reached the higher levels. All of that gear is readily available, as the Mod mentions: "to be enjoyed by the largest number of players available". If these people want to PvP, wear PvP gear. Simple as that. But all we get is some watered down excuse about newbies having feelings hurt and a random increase in substats which could have been fixed by just allowing us to use Morale to begin with.

If you're not going to fix it. Just leave it alone and do PvE. No point in wasting resources on a half-baked idea that doesn't even resemble decent PvP.

PvP works best when all characters are roughly at the same gear level which Frontline's ilevelsync helps with.

Morale as a substat was poorly done originally; the damage/defense benefits from it close to doubled the effectiveness of a character of that ilevel. This killed new player participation when they ran into long time PvPers.

Morale and PvP gear has been changed. Morale now shifts the item's ilevel by that amount when you are in a PvP area and all PvP gear now has 2 PvP applicable secondary stats.

PvP gear now has the following effective ilevels in PvP before levelsync:

Wolf - Weapons: 70, Armor/Accessories: 65
Warwolf - Weapons: 85, Armor/Accessories: 80
Direwolf - Weapons: 105, Armor/Accessories: 100
Beast/Hellwolf - Weapons: 115, Armor/Accessories: 110
Beastliege/Werewolf - Weapons: 135 Armor/Accessories: 130

The Beastliege/Werewolf gear is as good as if not better than the Dreadwyrm gear gained from clearing Final Coil of Bahamut.

And multiple builds do exist even if most PvPers just chase after one monobuild. In addition to choices of priority on Crit, Det and Skill/Spell Speed secondary stats each role has a choice of right side accessories. Tanks and DoW dps have access to Damage(+Str/+Dex) and Survival(+Vit) builds while Healers and Casters have Damage(+Int), Healing(+Mind), Survival(+Vit) and Endurance(+Piety) builds.
