Steps:
I bought a private house on Tuesday 10/28/2014 in the Goblet. I attempted to mount my chocobo named Moole and was told that it was "lost" and could be reclaimed at the Housing enthusiast (I think) so I did. Have been partying with Moole since and achieved rank 10, spent my SP, and used a thavnarian onion. Moole has been gaining exp past rank 10 this past week and today (11/4/2014) got the exp from companion challenge I. I then went to my FC house in Lavendar beds to stable Moole only to find he was in the stable?!!! I fetched Moole then restabled him and was told he could not receive exp because his rank needed to be pushed (which I had already done). In addition he shows way more exp toward rank 11 than he should. He does show the correct actions I spent my SP on.

This is part of a bug that was fixed on 10/30

An issue wherein a chocobo that was stabled in a chocobo stable could not be removed.
*After the fix, talking to the NPC “housing enthusiast” will allow you to remove your personal chocobo from the chocobo stable.
Additionally, this issue allowed personal chocobos to be fetched and gain experience while still being stabled in the chocobo stable; however, because the stabled chocobo is the one with the correct data, we apologize, but the data on your personal chocobo will be overwritten to the correct data upon removal of your personal chocobo from the stable.

I hope they can at least reimburse you the Thavnairian Onion :/

Screenshots of your chocobo's exp progress bar would probably be helpful to show that your chocobo was actually over the cap already before this issue happened

I'm having a similar issue:

I cannot receive any more xp for my Chocobo and it isn't even capped. Notice xp bar below. The #13 for RANK shows highlighted as tho it was capped. I have tried to feed onion, didn't work (lost onion fml). I get the "unable to gain any xp, are you sure you want to feed) error when I try to feed Krakka roots while in stables. No xp from chocobo/spiritbond party at Urth's Gift.

Something is still jacked up or I am missing something.

Please advise.

I have this same problem as well and it happened to me AFTER I retrieved my Chocobo from the NPC and had him for a few days of gaining xp he leveled up and I fed him his 4th onion and...bugged :/ have been sending bug reports every day with no luck, please assist!
