I've been doing exp tests in Frontlines the past couple weeks, and I've noticed that you can get additional exp and Wolf Marks in some Frontlines matches, but I'm not entirely sure how. I'd like to obtain the highest amount of exp possible to rank faster (as anyone would I'm sure), since queue times are so brutal as it is, and Maelstrom seems to suck in PvP on Goblin and getting 1st place finishes is nearly impossible. Reading this, I guess it's based on your rank vs others, but if this is true, then it's unfortunately uncontrollable. Here's what I've found though -
The "guaranteed" exp you get per finish seems to be:
1st - 400 exp, 600 WM
2nd - 300 exp, 450 WM
3rd - 200 exp, 300 WM
But I've also gotten the following:
1st - 440 exp & 480 exp, 660 WM & 720 WM, respectively
2nd - 330 exp & 360 exp, 495 WM & 540 WM, respectively
3rd - 220 exp & 240 exp, 330 WM & 360 WM, respectively
I've found that these "rewards" seemingly have nothing to do with kills, deaths, flag captures, damage dealt, or healing provided. I've had matches where I've done terribly and yet I've received more exp and Wolf Marks than matches where I've done what I'd consider really well (more kills than deaths, 5+ flag captures, etc.). If you filter to your own GC at the end of the match to check stats and your rank (count from top to bottom?), this doesn't affect the "rewards" either. I don't know if this is even a legit ranking for the match anyway, but I've taken it into consideration nonetheless.
Does anyone know more on this subject? Can we control how much additional exp we can get per match, or is it up to the server gods to match us up with higher ranked opponents (assuming that is what the aforementioned article means with "difference in rank").
Note 1: I know of the Free Company perks to provide more Wolf Marks per match. My findings do not include this, as my FC likes to use other perks instead of PvP perks.
Note 2: I also know of the bonuses you get from completing weekly challenges for PvP. Those bonuses are added/listed separately in-game, and are not included in the findings I've shared/recorded.
Note 3: All tests were done in Frontlines only. Never tried the Wolves Den, as it doesn't interest me at this time.
