Next time I group with a tank I'm just going to stand there and count their Overpowers and other skill uses. When they ask, I'll tell them I'm keeping an eye on their tp so I know when to goad.

Here is my challenge for you, go out and ask a player who NEVER EVER playing a WARRIOR as one of their class, ask them how many times of OP you think a War can use before their TP run out.. Then come back and tell me the answer.

XI: Zeroblade, Titan Server
And how many people would actually look up on XivDb, sitting down calculating 1000/120, then add another X TP generated in 3 sec time frame = XYz times a War can use OP before their TP run dry....Can you please post out an equation please? Would be very very HELPFUL and much much APPRECIATED to have the equation in hand and I will call you my SAVIOR!!!
/facepalm.
Or the person could just understand the game and know that all AoEs cost roughly the same TP?And how many people would actually look up on XivDb, sitting down calculating 1000/120, then add another X TP generated in 3 sec time frame = XYz times a War can use OP before their TP run dry....Can you please post out an equation please? All AoE from any TP-using job costs at least 120 TP. Natural combat TP regen is 60/tick; increased +30 by Paeon (+60 by BV Paeon), and +40 by traited Goad.
Main point being that AoE WS's are, by default, 2-3x more costly TP-wise than any single-target move. You don't have to play WAR to know. NIN should know themselves, because you can merely look at Death Blossom's TP cost relative to any of your other WS's and make that judgment.
But sure, keep deflecting on behalf of lazy people.
Or just put Goad on them before the AOE starts as it will have roughly the same effect as putting it on them half way through.
No monitoring needed.
:V
So by being lazy yourself for not clicking a 1 sec macro to ask for Goad, you wasted 1 mins of others time to look up the TP cost, to know that all TP AoE cost the same by comparison, to observe your OP spamming skills, and how you play your Warrior, and have to focus more than 100% by monitoring your TP the same time as well as output the max DPS.? Like seriously????
And also for the one who said Goad at the start of the pulls to have the same effect without the need for monitoring, you know what people would do when they see that? Spam MORE OP and it would still be back to square one...

Well learning how to play the game is good, yes. That is what we expect.
Someone given Goad at half TP isn't going to stop spamming their AOE move if mobs are still alive. This applies to BRD and DRG as well. The point of a SR is to kill things as quickly as possible, which means nonstop GCDs unless the thing you're hitting is dead - thus, Goad at the start becomes practically the same as Goad at half TP. Another option that would work similarly is to give them Goad once everything in the current trash pack dies so they can gain more TP back on the way to the boss.
