Told by Customer Service Chat Rep to Post Here: Complaint

Hello, Live Chat told me to post here.

My account was compromised sometime after February 2014 when I stopped playing. I was showing my Lodestone Profile to a friend interested in FFXIV in Mid/Late-May when I noticed my character was on a different server.

So, I lost control of my account. Contacted support, got my form notarized, character given back to me. I wanted to go back to my home server and I'm told to make a data rollback request. I do so, and I just need to "wait" for the rollback response. Fair enough. I call weeks/months later, no progress.

I get a response on OCTOBER 14th saying vital information is missing to process my request. I call support, once again, and am asked if I added an additional retainer while my account was compromised. NO. Of course not. I am told ok, we'll proceed with data recovery within the next 10-15 days. I ask if anything else is needed and am told no.

I contact support the very next day and ask if subscribing would speed things up. I am told nor. I then ask again if we're good to proceed. I am told no they have everything they need.

Imagine my surprise when I get another email, completely identical to the previous one saying vital information missing.

Look, I played this game, beat Twintania and stopped playing when Mythology Tomes were still big. Now there are Poetry Tomes. I've never gotten a single Soldiery Tome.
This is crazy, and is just a struggle with a company that is supposedly trying to work on customer service and customer relations.

Is there anything that can be done to get my account fixed? Because this is ludicrous. It would be a miracle for me to pay to play again after this. I just wanted to play with a new friend who wants to get into the game on Hyperion. I can't even do that and my old friends have moved on - I haven't played in 6+ months after all.

Don't see why you didn't just create a new character on wanted server after 3-4 months. You would be AHEAD of where you are now if ya were playing instead of waiting for SE to do something it wouldn't do....

Hell no man, you grew with your character, they are a part of you. You LOVE your character lmao. That's like, putting dog down who grew up with you, and get another dog, the second dog ain't gonna be the same.
