Saving Gear Sets and Hotbar/Crossbars Server Side

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on this, but has there been any recent discussion on creating a server side save setting for Gear Sets or Hotbars? I know on Final Fantasy XI there was this option, so switching from my console to my PC was much less effort. I'd like to play on my PS4 now and again but updating changes made from my PC (primary XIV machine) often deters me from it.

They don't want do dedicate serverspace to this and have no plans to implement it in the foreseeable future. Unfortunately.

I was surprised that they didn't add this when the PS4 system came out. They made a PS3->PS4 upgrade tool that allows transferring gear sets, hotbars, and macros specifically from a PS3 to a PS4 by uploading those settings to SE from the one and then downloading them to the other, but it's platform specific and can only go in that direction from a PS3 and to a PS4. They came so close to creating the feature people have been asking for since the game was released, if only they'd made it omni-directional and usable from any machine to any other.

(It would need a few other tweaks as well for regular use, like only overwriting settings that are included in the transfer. For instance, it doesn't include HUD layout, but still overwrites whatever HUD layout the target machine has, setting everything back to its default positions. That would need to be fixed.)

Yeah, given how Yoshi-P has been touting the cross-platformness of FF14 as a huge boon, cloudsaved UI/hotbars is a weird omission :/ At the moment it's the one thing that makes me not log in on PC anymore, in favor of th PS4-version. Spent like an hour and a lot of screenshots doing the migration from PC to PS4 in the first place and have tweaked stuff since then, making it not worth the hassle to go back to PC. At the same time the devs have mentioned how much space a chars inventory etc already take on the servers so I guess they're weary implementing features adding to that already crowded space.
