Friend Can't Make New Character on Excalibur Server (my server)

Hello! I just wanted to kind of address that I recruited a friend to play this game and she cannot create a character on my server, Excalibur. I was wondering if she could make a character on another server and just pay for server transfer and see if that would work? It's really silly how there are so many people afk for days hogging up space and won't let my friend play with me on my server :C sorry it's just upsetting we've been trying to work with this for several days now and she doesn't want to waste her free trial. Please help! Thank you!

It's kind of a pain, but you'll have to check back during the early morning hours when most people have logged off. She may be able to create a character between around 3 and 9 am, or something like that. Not sure exactly.

Im an alt-a-holic and I can get characters made anytime in the early mornings before 10-11AM EST. I've also some friends who got in 2-3AM EST making a character, though I'd much rather wake up a bit earlier than to stay up all night. The ONLY exception i've seen for this is when the 2.4 update came out and people had logged in RIGHT after the patch was finished to buy houses and power lvl rog/nin ASAP.

Note: This is my personal experience with the times. I've been trying to make a character with a desired name supposedly not taken because it doesn't come up on Lodestone, yet I get the error that it is taken. I've been camping for a good 2-3 months now and those times are what I have experienced over the many alts I've made.

If you can wait, try again at 4 AM PST.

If not, you are able to create a character on a different server, and transfer that character to Excalibur with no problems at all. Of course, you'll have to pay the 18$(i think that's how much it is..).

This is why they shouldn't have removed the logout-on-extended-afk thing. It was implemented because the server loads were so high that it was making it impossible to get in, and now it's making it impossible to make characters. I really hope it's reimplemented.

even if you make a char on another server can't transfer if the server is full. Ran into this prob transfering a legacy char over. I would play it safe and just camp the char creation screen.

That has never happened to me when I transfered to Gilgamesh/Midgarstormr/Excalibur/back to Gilgamesh.

o.o, even though it says the server cannot take anymore characters that can be created you can still transfer characters freely.

when i transferred my char over from balmung to levi had to wait a couple of hours due to the fact the server was full. I thought it didn't matter either till I tried it. But I was transferring over 4 chars so maybe had something to do with it.

Yes, just try at the crack of dawn. Got my boyfriend to try the game and we were able to create his character at about 6:30 EST on Balmung.
