Item Icons Not Displaying

Hello, i'm having this problem where the icons for items are not displaying at all. For example, Kokoroon's Darkshell Mail will show up on my character, but on the Inventory/Item Equip Screen/etc. The icon will show up as if it was invisible. The Gray Box is still there but the item image does not show.

I will upload a picture once the game is back up and i know for sure if it has been fixed or not.

EDIT: Still hasn't been fixed.

First time I've seen it. Usually, however, simply restarting the client or rebooting the computer fixes GUI issues (if that is what it is). Also, sometimes odd problems like this are fixed by deleting the Documents / My Games / Final Fantasy XIV folder and running the FFXIV Config program (which you have to do after deleting the folder). I'd try those things and see if that works. If it doesn't fix it, probably a re-install is your next best bet.

Yup, looks like worst case scenario. Some files were write-protected when you installed the patch and now you are missing some important data :P

EDIT: Okay so that didn't work. And i cannot find my CD to re-install the game, is there any other way I can install without the CD?

Also, could this be the result of downloading patches while an anti-virus program is running?

I seem to be having the same problems.
All earrings are missing all text and behest NPCs wont appear for me

I think that is probably the problem, I had a similar problem with EU3 as well as steam, disabled antivirus and it worked perfectly.
Now to reinstall FFXIV
