PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LET US TURN IT OFF!
I really hate the combat music, it's horrible. It sounds more whimsical than serious, plus I just hate combat music. I wonder what's the reasoning for not having that option.

Jeez.. some of you people really ask for way too much customization.

just mute the bgm for that part then?
but ya it would be nice to have an option like that

Signed, the music in the Library dungeon is awesome but the thought of that switch from relaxing to hyper battle music makes me run the game without the BGM on.
The only time that actually happens is when you reach the final boss. And the final boss theme is pretty awesome. :I

Field music, alrighty, but dungeon music... that's something I'm curious about. Every dungeon from 2.1-3.0 lack a battle theme for trash mobs, whereas bosses 'interrupt' the music for their own theme, which I feel is fine (you're fighting something that's 'tough'), as that music will most likely loop before each boss encounter. All dungeons in ARR (CM and Prae excluded) play music for a bit and then it's silence.
This is a much needed change. Kind of surprised its taken this long to get addressed.

I think they should revamp the battle musics in this game. make all of them an aggressive mix version of the theme of the map, like how it works in CT/ST/WoD, and Coil.

Ah, I remember when 13-2 introduced something like that and they added it to XIV. Sometimes I would prefer the Aggressive mixes than the actual song.
