+1 There needs to be more unique battle music, it gets really repetitive hearing the same music. Fates/Levequests/ Enemy outside dungeon/Certain Dungeons you hear the same BGM. Needs more unique music in the game for battling/fighting enemies.

*Want to sit on garden at Churning Mist while listen to the area's BGM*
*suddenly wild dragon comes to attack*
*begin Battle Music*
FFFUUUU I WANT TO LISTEN THIS WHOLE AREA'S MUSIC YOU DUMB CREATURE *kills the dragon brutally*
*back to listen the bgm grumpily*
Now I can't enjoy the music anymore![]()

i usually turn off in-game music, and have a program running in the background to play various tracks from final fantasy mystic quest in place of it (not modified files, just a program that i have set up to play specific tracks when i press a certain combo of keys)
My playtime would be so much more enjoyable if I didn't have to listen to the same darn song over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and...
I don't care if "other FF games" have particular battle music. This is the only FF game I've played and dang is that combat music annoying. It's not even very good. >_< And it ruins awesome tracks in dungeons and in the open world.
I like a lot of the background music, especially in dungeons but also in the open world. I severely dislike the combat music. This isn't really a solution.

Go onto youtube, look up the FFXIV music you like and then have it play in the background. A solution that doesn't have to make SE do a little extra work.
>_> I don't want to have to go manually hunting down the right track every time I go to a new zone or dungeon. That's absurd. SE's job is to "do a little extra work".

We already got this option for mount music, shouldn't be that hard to let us mute battle music too.
It would be a nice start but yeah, some ingame music player that would let you pick songs would be much much better.
I'd love to be able to substitute or add some FFXI music.

I rather just have Zenith playing everywhere I go lol. As for music, I really have no issues. I doubt SE will give us the ability to swap music from any content to our own or other music within the game. I can see them adding a J.box where we can listen to almost any track.
Also I remember SE already saying they are looking into this matter.
