Question For Dev team: Can you please low the soldiery cost for Animus books?

For the allied notes it could be 250 a book and for the grand company seals maybe make it 25k. Then players can either spam fates and build up GC seals to obtain the book, do dungeons and obtain soldier tomes or spam hunts and obtain 250 allied notes to obtain said books.

But the GC don't work for Rowena.
The Relict weapons are all her business.

Huh? How can it be more or less valuable than stuff that no longer exists or applies. That logic is broken. This is the new pricing scheme and it seems to be just fine. There are grindy stuff to satisfy the players that like to grind. For other there is the UAT and iLevel 115 from T9 now without weekly lockout.

The poetic tokens I would try to get, but the last time I did that with soldiery and well collecting all of those tokens for just 2 i100 weapons is still hurting me I still have i90 accessories in for 4 of my slot's for both my SMN and my SCH. As for T9 this thread wouldn't even existed, if I had found a group that could get pass T5. The groups that I was in either wiped at twister then couldn't get pass DiveBomb after that or just couldn't get pass divebomb all together.

Actually, they aren't. She only assists with obtaining some of the rarer things you need, simply because she's often the person to go to when you need to get something that isn't quite common.

The relic weapon is Gerolts, and that guy that upgrades your Atma's business. If you read the dialogue between you and the person that sells you the books to begin with, you will see that there is little to no value in them other than for your own weapon. SHE takes advantage of YOU because you want them enough to pay whatever she is asking for them. She boasts them as some kind of rare thing when really, across the continent, or wherever they are from, they're just dusty old books that have little to no value. Which makes sense, because story-wise, I'm pretty sure you are suppose to be the only person with the relic weapon of your job.

Agreed. Relic was menat to be easy but tedious (see: Atma pre 2.4). Just wait until they increase ways of getting sol or so something that will make getting the animus easier (maybe decrease the objectves per book?)

Since getting the i110 "unidentified allagan" weapon is a lot a lot easier to get than the atma/novus weapons why not just add two more options of purchasing the books rather than changing the gain rate of soldier tomes.

That itself can work against the relic weapon. All weapons progress in a way. You can get an ilvl 110 weapon very easily, far faster than it'd take you to grind out your relic to that same point. But just like the relic, other weapons progress as well, just not in a similar way the relic does. You can replace the soldiery weapon with a high allagan weapon. You can replace the high allagan with a poetic weapon, upgrade the poetic weapon, then replace that with a dreadwyrm weapon.

The only difference is, you HAVE to sit through the grind of the relic weapon in order to reach the better ones. For other weapons, you don't. Everyone brings up the fact that the Relic weapon 'progresses', and will always stay relevant, well, other weapons do too, and are often even more relevant that the relic weapon is. There will never be a time where the relic weapon just completely blows other weapons out of the water. If they were to introduce such a time, they would be at the bad end with anyone who raids for gear instead of grinding their relic. Which would be a problem. Unless of course they merge the two somehow, but that's doubtful.

Don't forget that not only is it harder to get 500 soldiery now than it was to get 1500 mythology then, but soldiery is still used for many other useful things players want, while mythology was not.

Many people were spending on crafting items and jewelry for their retainers in order to keep their mythology down to 1500 for when they completed their current book. Now that soldiery and ST drops are uncapped, there are many people who are going to be using soldiery to gear up their less-used jobs in 100/110 stuff.

500 Soldiery?! Hot dayum! That's better than 1500!

Actually, it costs more to get a book than it did before. 500 Soldiery is still worthwhile in progression - the conversion rate wasn't that friendly, so it says 500, but if that was 500 myth? Yeah, but 500 sold? That's still one heck a grind ontop if you still need soldiery gear for your classes AND their weapons.

The current values are not a permanent thing, and we will also continue to make adjustments based off of everyone’s feedback.

why wouldn't you want your voice to be heard? You sound like a under-foot type of person who accept being controlled. I'm not asking the books to be free in asking to have the price be cut down. They may take my thread or they may not at least I put my voice out there and that's good enough for me.
