    I'm sitting at a very comfortable 100 KB/s, and I'm downloading the patch over 3G, haha. Just moved to my first apartment on Saturday, so I'm tethered through my phone until my cable installation on Wednesday.

    Also, maybe they're learning? The patch is only 145 MB, and not a combination of 1.18 and 1.18a, as has been done with previous lettered patches. Go SE!

    Luckily I checked my ffxiv folder before installing the patch... some files were write-protected again :/

    Actually, quitting the program and restarting does work. I quickly get a few more percent, then it dies again, so i can restart and get a few more until it's done.
