    Increase DF speeds by setting weekly lockouts per role

    I have an idea to increase speeds of the duty finder. Make the weekly lockouts per role.

    What this means is for example the tomestones we get only 450 a week. This is fine for one role but in order to decrease wait times and make more people play other roles it should look like this:

    For all dps jobs u get 450 a week
    Tank jobs you get 450 a week
    Healing jobs you get 450 a week.

    This means u still gear each job up just as fast as everyone else but now u can play other roles and not wait the 3 months it takes to gear out my dps job (which is most people's main) then start my 2nd job.

    Of course this is only for different roles. U can not for example get points for NIN and DRG as these are both dps role. Same for WAR and PLD, SCH and WHM

    Edit: Please read down some people are actually adding more ideas like mine that may be better.

    This is just an idea to get more people play different roles any idea to helps that is welcome here^^

    I have to disagree on this. The weekly cap is there to prevent people from overgearing and blowing through content quickly. By doing so, content interest slowly deteriorates because of the amount of tomes everyone is getting which results in people just sitting around twiddling their thumbs, and not queing for dungeons because they have collected them all.

    Just something to this about.

    Think about this. One month passes and everyone has their 50s. Do you still want this then when ques return to normal wait times? I think not. Patients young grasshopper.

    We aren't doing anymore per role than what we are doing now. Just more people can gear and play different roles faster. It's going to take 2 weeks just for my Smn body ilvl 120. In the same time I could keep another role just as high in ilvl which in turn would make more people play other roles.

    More people playing more roles means faster que times. No? Just an idea tho.

    Again u dont get unlimited points just points for tank role, healer role, DPS role.

    I like your proposal, the current system makes little sense with the armoury system, can play all classes but you wont be able to gear all of them by the time the expansion hits. It being role specific at least means DPS can go around and try tanking or healing dungeons if they see themselves with a geared tank/healer.

    This cant be done, because some one might wanna farm i90 gear, the only way to make df faster is the release of the new tank and the new healer

    Your phones auto correction is horrifying. But I get what your saying. All in all, people shouldn't be punished or restricted because they only want to play one class. This was proven when Tanaka implemented the exp penalty back in 1.0. It was abolished and everyone hated it.

    Just be patient. Slow it down. Don't need 3x the weekly cap. If won't long before you'd want 3x that new 1850 cap also.

    this is my point. If you do not main tank this is little reason to use tank because you main role (DPS) will be geared first. So 2 months from now when i start a tank (if i start a tank what if i start gearing another dps class. Then it will be 4 months before i use a tank class) then ill be behind and weaker.
