    Finally, can't believe it even took this long for them to realize how dumb having to keep raising your shield was. Glad they are going to change it before they add any of those HNM that take a long time to kill. This will make playing GLA much better.

    Good riddance to Guard. It was absolutely terrible having to constantly waste time putting up your shield, especially when the UI lags enough as it is. Without your shield up, you can't phalanx and your threat generation is far weaker. If you stop to put your shield up, you'd be wasting 3 or 4 valuable seconds that SHOULD be used for threat or a defensive cooldown. It was a lose lose situation.

    This will let us focus on actively controlling the monsters and protecting our teammates. Without Guard, I might actually have time to use more of my abilities over the course of each fight instead of worrying about my threat generation and damage mitigation dropping like a rock every couple of seconds.

    I think most glads know you don't even use guard that much anyway... You rotate your shield skills so if you're using a vintage kite shield you basically never need to hit guard... maybe more an issue for scutum i guess.

    I'd rather they keep guard, and extend the duration by double or triple. I get this sneaking feeling that auto-block is going to be incredibly unreliable when it comes to procs. I really hope it doesn't end up being like FFXI blocks. Guard may have been high-maintenance but with a Scutum I was blocking pretty much everything.

    I'm so "glad" they are finally taking care of this. Having to go back to simple guard everytime my shield fell was a waste of time and should've simply been auto-integrated into battle since auto-attack was implemented.

    I hope they don't remove Sentinel abilities like Aegis Boon (recover hp while blocking), cuz i don't mind taking the time to raise my shield if there are bonuses (an actual reason) involved.
