    They probably should remove TP generation from hits taken and possibly compensate by giving mobs permanent Invigorate, or something.

    I don't think you actually get tp for being hit, unless you have um... what's it called... Outmaneuver?

    Or were you talking about mobs?

    Honestly I don't even think mobs have auto attack right now...

    When I fight dodos, after a certain point the dodo will just stand there for about 30 seconds belching.

    I actually double checked this right before posting to be sure and I did indeed gain some TP from being hit.

    In the current state it is a stupid feature. It should be enhanced though so that using guard increases your blocking/defense and not raising guard gives you more acc/attk. That way you can make decisions on how to use it.


    Why do you all run back to archaic ideas rather than coming up with better solutions. Auto Attack, Auto Blocking, and cooldown timers... That sounds so refreshing, I couldn't get that experience anywhere else... nor could I get it in a more polished and enjoyable format....

    Totally agree. Also, by changing shield to the same mechanic of parry this might not only nerf GLA even more but also remove a good part of its actions, requiring adjustments not only to phalanx but also to all shield skills that use as reference wield rate and even self-presrvation trait...

    I do think auto-block would depreciate the game even more...but for the sake of FFXI full copy/paste battle system it does might happen. I so wish the battle team could look to FFXIV and not see a FFXI-2... ; ; FFXIV had many flaws at its system, ut also had some really good mechanics that should be just adjusted, but never removed/messed up like 1.18 did to several points.

    And then maybe the shield will always be up, simply making it so we wont have to keep hitting the guard key every so often. Its just removing one annoying step step blocking.
