new character in a diff world

I want to create a new character in a different world, but the world I wamt is on a different data center. If I change the data center on my console, will I lose my lvl 50 char?

Example: I have a lvl 50 in diabolos, but I want to start a new char in adamantoise. Two diff data centers. Can I?

Basically, no, you won't lose your original character if you create a new one on a new server or data center. You'll just have to remember if you want to switch back to that character you'll first have to set the current data center back on the title screen first though. But you won't lose any characters made simply by changing data centers.

Awesome thank you I don't want to leave the friemds I have now, but I want to try out a world closer to my time zone :-)
