Also I'm just gonna call that we have a keyblade that was used to take Garuda's crystal but we still need to get a sense of our (character's) own self before it will actually manifest. Totally calling it.

If I recall correctly, the developers did confirm that the intro to 1.0 took place in the Mizzenmast, as evidenced by the borders on the guildleve (the aetheryte in the background is due to how early on the cutscene was in development). So the heroic derplander who represents the players/is having his own adventures while we do had his vision and started his journey proper in Limsa Lominsa. If we take him as a "legacy player", he'd get the Limsa intro as well because he was a WAR.

They did confirm it he's also riding the legacy branded chocobo in the movie that plays when the game idles on the start screen. Funny thing is he's the only one from the group.. guess the others were to late and didn't pay for their three month sub or couldn't get help to do the United we stand quest.
