    Lag, lag, and more lag

    I'm currently experience alot of lag, mostly during peak hours. It's particularly terrible on weekends. Other than that, during the day and late late at night i don't have any issues. I know alot of people have been posting about this. I'm just adding to the list in hopes that the problem gets solved. I play on a PC and i'm wireless because unfortunately it's my only options. All of my other games perform perfectly fine.

    It's almost 1:30 in the morning for me. I have a good net connection, never really have lag with anything I do, no other games, Netflix, Crunchyroll etc but FFXIV I do at times... Everything tonight going great... chillin having fun etc, and then dun dun dunnnnnn:

    Tonight (about 1am) I went towards Aleport via Middle La Noscea. Was fine when I first entered by the Fat Dodo's and started to go down the hill to Skull Valley and bam. Lag hits me so bad that I released my controller hoping it would go away after a minute and my character kept running for a good minute after in this lag induced stuttering run before finally stopping. Tried to get to Aleport to do what I was there to do, and lag city continues. Now I will note, I have been on all evening, even during the whole 'everyone is on because it's evening' etc... and had no lag in any of the other zones.

    Ended up having to teleport out, which my menu was lagged out as well, and then literally spent the next 5 minutes if not more in the loading screen and never zoned in. Ended up having to force close my client and just gave up for the night. Go to netflix and watch something instead, no issues at all everything's running fast and smooth.

    Something is going on with the route that is set up to SE's servers, or SE's servers themselves. I know a lot of people who are routed though Level 3 have a lot of issues... I'm gonna call my provider and see if there is any way I can bypass this but still if SE is getting so many complaints about Level 3 maybe they should tell them to step it up, or get another place to route though.

    Anyway going to watch my non-laggy netflix now.

    or you know.. maybe you could actually pay attention to what the issue really is.

    as what you're basically saying is level 3 should give verizon money so that verizon connects up ports that level 3 have already made available.

    SE is not level3's customer...nor Cogent's or Tata's, etc. But...your ISP is.

    Need to get with their Tier3 support and provide them some specifics about your connection, and push them for escalation. You are paying them for the service. Demand they properly support you and remember...they answer to a regulatory authority (at least in the US--contact details are supposed to be provided with your bill). Ideally, you want to send both a good and bad trace to the IP that your client actually is using while in game (netstat or resmon will provide it...Canadian servers start with 199). At the very least they need that IP address.

    Sorry but my ping is fine and constant. This is a bad of SquareEnix and the lags are horrible if you want to play at prime time.
    The servers are to weak!!
    Also the emotes of spells (just the effect when it hits you) from other people is in time. But where you see them and when you see the spell progress as there movement is more then a second late.
    And about ISP, SquareEnix has NOT supported IPv6, that caused to decrease the possibility’s of routing.
