I don't know if you played many ninja games. But it's common ninjas blowing fire even before naruto exists. And the ninja gear still awesome and looks like a real shonobi. Also no ones on naruto looks like a ninja.

Hi
I've actually read into this while doing research on this. I may be mistaken on this but I believe that the real outfit was more of to blend in and it wouldn't make sense for a ninja to wear the standard ninja outfit from folklore. In the Sengoku/Edo period neither of which had the standard "ninja outfit" but in the Edo period they did have the typical "thief" mask which was the cloth tied around their heads covered their cheeks and tied under the chin.
To say that Naruto doesn't look like a real ninja well I doubt they wanted to go with the traditional look of them because that wouldn't really suit war.
Also some of the armor like what was worn by Madara was actually closer to what they wore, but it's supposed to take place more in the modern age so they went with a more modern military look than actual ninja.
I think you and me are going to get along just fine >: ) My beef with Naruto is how they try to mix Ninjas with Monks. Monks use Chakra, Ninjas use Ninjutsu. I find it personally insulting they try to make Ninjas use Chakra. One might argue they are one in the same due to the nature of how they work, but it does have differences.
That being said, yes it is true Ninjutsu has existed before Naruto was ever a thing. Furthermore, Ninjas are and have always been known for their stealth and agility, making them silent killers. In a way, they can be compared to assassins. One might say that assassins and ninjas are like brothers in fact... But I digress.
In regards to Final Fantasy for example, we turn to Edge. Edge was using Ninjutsu to conjure elemental attacks, as well as buffs like Image. Ninjutsu is how Ninjas use their mental energies to produce attacks and defenses of a more "magical" nature. They become one with their surroundings and nature, allowing them to call forth these effects. I don't necessarily believe the hand signs are necessary to do it, but it's just how some ninjas like to show pizazz I suppose![]()

Guildmaster of Power With Numbers (PWN) on Coeurl in Aether.
Insulting to who lol? It's made-up fantasy land taking source words from random mythologies, much of which is not faithful to the source. That's hardly unique. Final Fantasy does this as well, with Shiva being the most obvious example.I think you and me are going to get along just fine >: ) My beef with Naruto is how they try to mix Ninjas with Monks. Also you don't seem to even know the difference between the two. Chakras are points on your spiritual body and ninjutsu literally just means ninja technique. It is not related specifically to their variety of magic, it also involves martial arts, use of weaponry, warfare tactics, and espionage. They don't just have a difference, they're not the same thing at all.
Hey guys, I would appreciate everyone staying on topic! I would love to get the development team to give us an option to toggle the ninja run, which destroys roe and elezen backs.... this is backed by SCIENCE! :P
Bump, bump, bump in the night! Please give us this option Yoshi-p!
