    DX11 status?

    Can we get an update on the DirectX 11 Client and a possible implementation time frame?

    Will DX11 really make much difference? I thought yoshi said it'd just be lighting effects that would improve so does it really matter? If it included HD textures it'd be different obviously...

    Take a look at the Garuda Battle Cinematic from 1.0. It's pretty much identical except for the nifty lighting effects.

    I think 2.0 looks better than 1.0 though. And I don't see the need for a DX11 version. We have a game that runs well and looks fine. It's doubtful that the DX11 will run as well as the current verion. But then anythings possible.

    If you're trying to say that dx11 client will look like v1.0, that's not accurate. Version 1.0 was also built in dx9.

    Give me a 64 bit client with that DX11 so I can make use of all this RAM my pc never uses while playing ; ;

    DX11 is mostly better shader effects as far as I can remember though. It won't increase graphical detail.

    They don't know the time frame they said it at fan fest. All they said was it's soon it could be later this year or next year just wait.

    Yoshi-P said (I think at E3 this year) that the earliest the DX11 client would be ready is winter of this year. My guess though is that it will release with Heavensward.
