Damage meters please. Every time i see one of these videos i get pissed. I want meters. I wanted meters in 2.3. I wanted meters in 2.1.

Why am i putting all this effort into your game if you're not going to hook us up with some meters? ive yet to kick anyone out of my raids for their dps being lower than mine. i dont need a meter to look at their threat being lower than mine. i want meters please.

I specifically want them to learn to play new classes and optimize the intricacies as well as to figure out ideal times to mix in consumables etc.

Because SE do NOT condone using 3rd party software when playing FFXIV, having the PC version is just a technical advantage since you can run your own software and apps, but SE are never going to directly support it.

So you need tools that help you somewhat "cheat" (using term loosely) to be able to learn how to play your class? Hmm, not sure how I did it on the PS4, but didn't have any issues learning how to play my class.

I do see the benefit of not having them. Not having people nit pick each other every pull or in fights with rng where debuffs like chains or devours in t6 will lower a players dps if they are selected. At the same time, not being able to learn stuff like this is really annoying.


The gear rewards in this game in relation to the free token gear are so minimal compared to having access to this software that it's not even funny. The real reward is having this knowledge that only comes from using this software. My reward for playing on a ps4 as an endgame raider is being ignored for i dont even know how many months now.

Only one way (two if you know how) to remedy this, buy a PC, or crack the PS4 for custom software.

It's not cheating, would you say that stopwatches are "cheats" in field tracking? Because, they're basically the same. Nowdays in a lot of MMOs this kind of things are supported even by developers. Square Enix doesn't allow this in their terms of service not the team, Yoshida himself said he doesn't mind players that use these tools (Such as Advanced Combat Tracking). It's something normal for someone to wants to check their perferomance with some real numbers.

But everyone has access to stopwatches, but I said loosely, anything that gives an advantage over another player that can't use it, could be deemed "cheating".

He has a HP percentage doesn't he? Training Dummys are for exactly that, to practice combos/techniques and basically kill it as quick as you can, you don't need a piece of software to tell you that your DPS is 10-20 less than another similar DPS, unless you're a really sad Hardcore player that absolutely insists on requiring strict DPS numbers to raid with then yea but apart from that it's purely informational.

Someone please name me 1 fully ps4 composed group of raiders who has completed t10. Not even t11. Just t10. All ps4. You'd be hard pressed, but props to you dudes if you are out there. Now on the flip side name a group of all pc players and i can name a handful.

Square if you arent going to treat ps4 players with the same respect or give us the same experience then you should charge us less because the majority of ps4 players will never see this content for months.

Here is what will happen. These poor ps4 idiots will be forced to farm hunts for their upgrade tokens which will take 100x longer of monotonous grinding (not learning jack about how to play the game or play their class) so they can get handmeout upgrades to hand me out gear. And experience handmeout fights that have handmeout guide written for them by players who actually got to use raid tools and learn to play the game and experience the fun and excitement.

Seriously when are damage meters being added for the ps4? Maybe it's because I haven't slept in over 24 hours but this whole vicious cycle you got going here really blows.

I mean you run this thing in the ps4 blog about wanting to make the game as much the same as possible but its complete nonsense. It's not the same experience whatsoever when you don't have access to the same addons in an mmo. Period.

There was a girl a few weeks ago back who came onto our voice chat who apparently had some kind of mod that would tell her when the boss abilities would come. I can tell you at least 3 people who quit this game on the ps4 because they couldn't do divebombs way back when that was the big lockout and here you have this ditzy girl managing divebombs because the addon literallly tells her EXACTLY WHEN TO MOVE. Yes the people who quit were casual with the game, but that's not the point. If those same people were playing on pc with that addon they'd have gotten past that fight no problem. Its NOT the same game. And you are conspiring to lock PS4 players into that role of always being behind on raid content compared to a pc player. That certainly wasn't on the box when i bought into the game.

You can have an absolute moron with that addon thatll get by just fine. Has nothing to do with skills or reactions. It's a glorified circle jerk of a bunch of elitist pricks on pcs getting to do content and you sitting there laughing and these ignorant fools who play this game 10x longer for worse gear who never even get to learn how to play their class half as well.

TOTAL JOKE. I have 0 respect for how you manage the parity between platforms here. I just want meters so i can learn to play the class without having to go online to figure out how to optimize. please fix.

Honestly i picked up this game to kill time more than anything but the more i play and thinka bout it, its a real ripoff for ps4 players. The whole fun of experiencing these new dungeons while they are fresh is gone. All the gear is datamined. All the best rotations are figured out by some dude with the addon and all the best gear is worn by the people playign on pcs. It's not even a game. It's like shooting fish in a barrel.

I dont need the addon that tells me how to wipe my butt. I am the addon that tells people when abilities are coming up in raids. I want damage meters and i wanted them in 2.4 with ninja.
