Yeah I hate this too. All my gear swaps macros and action setting macros are 10 lines long and pressing the wrong one now is like 15 seconds wasted.
Hey you two!
The thread was moved to General Discussion from In-Game Bugs since it's more related to feedback/suggestions. Thank you much for your feedback!

This has been the case for everyone I believe since the last patch. It happens 100% of the time in my experience on every class, every rank, and everywhere in game. And yes, It extremely bothersome to accidentally hit a 10 line macro which will start either changing your equipment or changing 10 of your actions.
Before the last patch, hitting a macro will cancel the preceding one which is still in progress.
Platform: Windows 7 Ultimate, 64bit
ISP: Cox Cable
Type of Internet Connection: Optic Fiber
Internet Connection Speed: 31Mbit/s
Date & Time: Every day
Frequency: Always
Character Name: Reika Shadowheart
Race: Miqo'te
World: karnak
Class/Skill Rank: Blacksmith, Rank 44
Physical Level: Physical level 50
Area and Coordinates: Ul'dah, Upper-Right corner of (5, 4)
Party or Solo: Solo
NPC Name: None
Monster Name: None
In-Game Time: 1400 (and all other times.
Steps:
-While standing around in Ul'dah
-I used my macro which includes the lines:
/equip Main "Plumed Walnut Macuahuitl +1"
/equip Sub "Vintage Kite Shield"
/equip Head "Iron Celata"
/equip Legs "Tarred Leather leggings (Blue)"
/equip Feet "Cavalry Sollerets (Black)"
/equip Hands "Spiked Leather Armguards (Black)"
/equip Chest "Harrier's Jacket (Black)"
/equip Waist "Tarred Voyager's Belt" +1"
/eaction 2 "Heavy Slash"
/eaction 3 "Guard"
After selecting this macro, I cannot stop it by selecting it again, unlike Pre-1.16 where I could select it or a different macro while it is doing it's processes to end it should I have accidentally clicked it.
-I received no error messages.

Greetings again, Reika!
Thank you for taking the time to fill out the form regarding your concern about cancelling long macros. I can understand how this could really interfere with your game, especially in the middle of battle, so I will make sure that the development team receives this information. I recommend keeping watch on this thread for any further news about the results of the investigation. Thanks again for your report!
Greetings once more, Reika!
Thank you for your patience while waiting for a response to your report. After thoroughly investigating this matter, the development team determined what you described was part of the proper function of macros. If you would like to suggest changes to this, I recommend either submitting your comments about this via http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/ under "Support Center">"Contact", or creating a thread about this under the "User Interface" forum. Thanks again for your patience!
