well for anyone who has all classes unlocked 110 is the achievable immediate goal for all off-classes, and the easiest way to achieve that is st and scob for sure.

poetics will be getting spent on your main class at the rate of 1 item per week/2 weeks. that doesn't help anyone with a ilvl90 drg or mnk or even nin to get to a respectable level.

110 means absolutely nothing if you're not best in slot, or at least stacking Soldiery and High Allagan gear together in an effort to boost your higher weighed stats. In order to do that, you'd need to complete SCOB anyways, so you might as well do that and get the sands/oils in the process.

You are giving way too much credit to BiS, difference is not that huge. SCoB does not require BiS. It was only after we cleared turn 9 that MNK BiS items deigned to finally drop. Plus we had weeks with exact same drops each week.

Everything outside SCoB/FCoB is easily doable in ilvl 90.

It is kind of weird how last patch was very much "catch up" time but now they sort of nerfed it again. I figured Sol would replace Myth in value and it hasn't. It's a bit disappointing. It's also killed Hunts effectively. I suspect Hunts will go through this kind of thing often though. It had its high, now it's low, and then Poe will be added at some point and it'll be high again, rinse and repeat.

Not much incentive for new endgame content when you have to spam SCoB, ST, and hunts for the materials.

Well, SE may have overlooked one small thing. With the massive nerfs to hunt rewards, there are only 2 ways left in order to get your characters gear lvl up to 110:

1) Second Coil
2) ST

Everyone knows how painful second coil can be, especially for pugs, so this really only leaves one way to get that 110 gear. ST

ST, ST, ST, ST, ST............. what a snoozefest. The lack of pug friendly ways to get sands/oils is really starting to show. I don't know how many more of these I can run. I still need 3 sands and 3 oils to complete my 110 set........

My solution, make sands/oils accessible through either soldiery tomes or as dungeon drops from the 3 new i80 dungeons. noone really cares how long it takes to get to 110 now anyways, so why not reduce the nonsense factor and make it a little easier to get there.

How about farm t8 for 5-6 min?

I just enjoy the ride of the gear treadmill so I don't have an issue with things taking time in this game. It's easy to heal in ST so I just instant queue as a White Mage and spam cure at people. The only time it isn't fun is when people cause wipes.

didn't mean to imply that i90 isn't enough for all that content but its not the max easily achievable goal for alt classes now so most if not all will not settle for i90,

the new respectable level is i109/110 without doing any of coil. and that is what people should be aiming for on their main and alts as time allows.

Gearing up too fast!?!?!!! I just got my 120 WHM head today, barely notice any difference and it only increased by ilvl from 94 to 96, but yet I see several people on Gungnir with their i120 body by the second week...?

This is where my enjoyment of the game becomes trivial, because of the grind, by the time the next patch hits yu do not get to bask in enjoying the current content at your current ilvl, before a whole lot of content makes everything yu have been working towards for 3 months obsolete, not make-do, OBSOLETE. I want to be able to enjoy these new gears in the game's current environment without having to change that plan because there is a race for i135 and yu are left out in the dark as a little i96 noob.
