Maybe I should clarify... it is because of the catgirls's sex appeal that miqote are generally considered played by men. The stories of players being "burned" as it were, by male players' advances were numerous enough it went past drama and into hilarity.

I hate how people generalize how mithra are played mostly by males. I think video games in general are played mostly by males, not just mithra. My girlfriend and I are both female players playing as miqo'te, and were both mithra on FFXI, and yes, we both hate being stereotyped as male players, because people cant get over the fact that females are indeed allowed to touch a video game controller. Let alone be able to wear a bikini without being called a slut, or be considered as slutty.

In FFXI Mithras had set stats that you could only achieve by being a mithra therefore if you wanted those stats you had to be a mithra whether you where a male... female... hamster... monster truck tire.... So again.. they arent made for just females.. or just males.. but because males are notorious for liking chicks... and mithras have attractive stats... and Males likely dominate the gaming world.. thats just how it works... So GET OVER IT. and have fun in your new bikini

Sure the bikini's might attrack some guys, maybe not, but good for the game if it does bring in more people on such a frivolous reason. RL girls might also enjoy their character in a bikini, their are not indecent in themselves (the bikinis) and the character's are attractive enough not to be ashamed of showing off your body, so I don't see why most girls would object to those swimwear. Yes I do agree that the miqote pose is somewhat dirty, I can't deny that they look like poses you'd see in a beer commercial. I hope they add more poses (/pose 1, /pose 2, etc) since maybe not all miqote like to pose half-bent foward

Also, this goes the other way too, the males outfit can be considered sexy and attractive as well and it might attract girls and gay guys. Hell I know I love looking my sexy huyr in a tight swimwear. And honestly, I don't think it makes me or anyone else a pervert.

So it's all good I guess if it attracts more guys and girls even if it's through cosmestic tactics lol maybe they will stick around after the event.

Alright crazy lady, I dont really care how offended by the fact that dudes play female characters you get. I'm simply pointing out SE's strategy. I dont care how you play your character.. i dont care if mod your character to be naked or to wear a parka.. I really dont care. I only wanted to point out how I saw the skimpy bathing suit and the dirty pose that has been implemented on the Miqote whatever mithra race and the reason why I thought it was put in.
